There are several different chicken salad recipes out there, but this is a bit different and is a lunch that fills you up just enough without making you fall asleep!
Apricot Pecan Chicken Salad
Cooked, chopped white chicken (grocery stores sell this in the deli section) or use leftover rotisserie chicken
A small handful (about 8) dried apricots
A small handful of candied pecans (less is more)
a couple stalks of celery
a small spoonful of apricot…

While I was
analyzing pinup art a while ago and trying to concoct my version of the genre, I did a lot of searching for reference material. I came across
"Cartooning the Head and Figure" on amazon, which has the "Look Inside" feature. While the material didn't seem…

Putting the finishing editing touches on the 2008 Seattle Roadster Show segment we did last year for Go-Kustom TV. Great interviews with Candy Clark (Debbie from American Graffiti), Lance Lambert of The Vintage Vehicle Show and various Hot Rod owners- including Ron and Ken Foreman from the Rat Bastards Car Club. The segment will be up on You Tube sometime next week as well as the next Best Of Go-Kustom DVD…

You should never completely deprive yourself of something you want, in fact having a treat when are craving it is no problem--unless you start doing it everyday. so here are a few treats that help me get through
1. 100 cal packs of popcorn (not sweet but satisfying)
2. A couple ounces of juice (a tropical juice works well) with the rest of the glass filled with sparkling water. Tastes like a refreshing soda
3. A cup of sugar free hot chocolate
4. Fake pudding pie-In a…

Our destination is not as important as our journey.
Sometimes you have to let go of what you really care about BECAUSE you care so much.
I have things to give. Important things that have meaning. Things that can't be given away to just anyone or tossed out carelessly to be forgotten. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with those things.
Lessons present themselves every second you are alive. Sometimes you catch, sometimes you miss…

You should eat breakfast, especially if you want to lose weight or just be healthy
Why?
I was listening to the radio and they said that people who don't eat breakfast will consume about 30% calories a day than those who do eat breakfast. Furthermore, those who don't eat breakfast are 450 times more likely to be overweight!!!
Also, eating breakfast has been shown to lower your risk of diabetes (has to do with blood sugar control). It also definitely helps keep you…

I've always been a really full-figured, curvy girl, and liked it most of the time. But when you're only just over 5 feet tall, it doesn't always look good, and after seeing some pictures of myself at Christmas, I decided to bite the bullet and make 2009 the year I shift the weight for good!
So I embarked on the Cambridge Diet 5 weeks ago, and have already lost about 17lbs! I'm a dress size down already and VERY happy about it and even more motivated than before :)
The…

I found out last minute that Go-Go Amy's Pinup Girl classes are coming to town just a few days ago - but March is a broke month for us so I sadly figured wouldn't be attending because we couldn't afford it. But then, today my honey told me I could go because (eh I hate to say this part) of our tax return, err
confession. **Note: It is illegal for the government to collect income taxes and we know this, but don't have all the info to fight it at the moment - watch the documentary by Aaron…

Right from the start I'd like to say that if this offends you than perhaps you should examine yourself. I will make no apologies for being brutally honest.
What is the deal with all of these people calling themselves sideshow performers when they clearly
are not?
For example, last year I chatted with this girl who said she was a stilt walker and fire eater, who was trying to teach herself sword swallowing [with a SAI of all things] and doing some performances for…

Okay, the
listing, from StitchGirl52, calls it a tote bag. And when I hear "tote bag," I think "please enjoy free gift from PBS with your contribution of $25 or more." But this roomy purse is SO much cuter than that. Red gingham is reminiscent of picnic baskets, and the bag is actually big enough to hold your lipstick AND your lunch. And from the looks of it,…
