Shake that ass.....

So, today I tried something new. I took a dance/aerobics class called Zumba. You may have heard of it.... apparently it's all the rage.



Conclusion:



I had NO idea my ass could move in so many different directions! Turns out that Zumba is dancing or moving, if you will, to EXTREMELY fast paced music. Who asked for snow???

Holy, SH-EE-T!!! Here in Denver, we're getting bent over and impaled from behind by mother nature. I heard on the radio they are calling it a 'dangerous, winter storm' and they are expecting 18 inches within the next day as well as possible power outages due to the wind. I have already shoveled the drive once and am getting ready for another round. It will be my exercise for today since I drove all the way to the gym in this BLIZZARD only to find out it was "Closed, due to the weather".… Continue

What is "normal" anyway? (a GIGANTIC venting session by Syd. Please bear with me....)

Apparently, as a 29 year old, married mother of three, I am supposed to be doing what other "normal" women do. I need to "grow up" and stop acting like a five year old. Looky there....

AHHHHHH, spring. I love spring. The days, becoming longer, have just the right touch of a cool breeze here, to keep the hot from being hot and a warm breeze there, to keep the cold from being cold. The crocus and other flora are shooting up everywhere and birds are perched and singing in the branches of the trees that only weeks ago were heavy with snow. Someone should have cut me off.... (or at the very least, set a pace!) ;)

I had somewhat of a shitty morning yesterday and although I was lucky enough to be cheered up by one of my favorite people EVER, it put me in a bit of a rebellious mood. I decided I was going to treat myself to a nice relaxing evening. The 'old man' was coming home late so it was just the kids and I and it was a beautiful sunny day just right for a BBQ. I was at work Friday night, servicing folks with AUTHENTIC southern food and drink at the Cracker Barrel, when one of the other waitresses told me the people at her table would like to speak to me. I am INSANELY excited for Ama and Victoria to get here in March! This is big for me. I am trying not to behave like a psychotic fan. You know, the kind that babbles incoherently and bubbles over with anticipation in the presence of greatness? Oh, WAIT..... I think I'm there already. Crap.
