Holy, SH-EE-T!!! Here in Denver, we're getting bent over and impaled from behind by mother nature. I heard on the radio they are calling it a 'dangerous, winter storm' and they are expecting 18 inches within the next day as well as possible power outages due to the wind. I have already shoveled the drive once and am getting ready for another round. It will be my exercise for today since I drove all the way to the gym in this BLIZZARD only to find out it was "Closed, due to the weather". Freakin' p****'s. :P

Anyway, I have friends that are going out in this 'disaster' tonight so I hope they stay safe. I worry about them all the time but especially during situations like these! It would break my heart if anything were to ever happen to them. I'm going to be channeling a wave of protective energy their way EXTRA hard tonight.

I saw a poor, little robin struggling against the harsh wind whilst I was clearing the driveway. He finally gave up and barely landed on his feet under a ledge by my living room window. He tucked his little beak under a wing and sat shivering against the frigid air. He was probably more ready for spring than I was! What a disappointment.....

Strangely, though, I can't think of any place I'd rather be right now than sipping hot chocolate by a frozen lake, the restless honking of Canadian Geese echoing in my head. Good times......

An excellent excuse to get together again. Wanna hit the Mile Hi Flea Market next weekend? I need a pale pink parasol for one Viva outfit and they're cheap there... if you overlook the entrance fee. :) (pale pink parasol, pale pink parasol, pale pink parasol... I love alliteration!)

My final backyard total was 13.5 inches, but I heard the official total in my town was closer to 17. This being metro Denver, though, it's mostly gone now. And yay, all of my flowers have had a long, lovely drink!

The view this morning: only 2cm of snow, lightly falling, temp around -1C and the neighbour was standing on his front step, shirtless. Aaaaaa, spring.

For once Denver got hit harder then we did! WOOHOO! All the snow has melted off the roads, and only an inch or two remains on the ground. I have had my fair share of winter...BRING ON SPRING!!!

You should DEFINITELY make the trip, Poppy.... and Betty Red is only a couple of hours away, too!!

Yah, Wink. Sometimes the plows do more damage than anything else....

S***, you're in Denver too??? I've totally got to make a trip down, now that I have a 10 YEAR US VISA! W00t!

Oh, and condolences on the white stuff. Impressive collection you're building there, girls.

At last measure, I had 12 inches in my back yard. I didn't even try to venture out... the plows that came through put a nice wall of snow directly behind my carport, and I didn't feel like digging through it.
