AHHHHHH, spring. I love spring. The days, becoming longer, have just the right touch of a cool breeze here, to keep the hot from being hot and a warm breeze there, to keep the cold from being cold. The crocus and other flora are shooting up everywhere and birds are perched and singing in the branches of the trees that only weeks ago were heavy with snow. Sprinklers are back in yards, encouraging the small patches of green grass beginning to peek out and around their dull brown predecessors until the first "April Shower". People have put away their winter coats and sweaters and indulge in the comfortable weather, peeling layers of clothes off like snakes ridding themselves of their old scales. These days make it easy to sit and gaze longingly at the seductiveness of the season, distracted by the luscious greenery, whispering wind and gleaming sunlight.

My daffodils are coming up! And that one, rogue hyacinth that a squirrel must have planted. History tells me that we have a least one more heavy, wet snow in our future, though. Of course, we need the water. We always need the water.
