I've been creating hair accessories for awhile now, I fondly dubbed them
DINOfleur. I have a huge thing for dinosaurs, and obviously pin up, so I decided to combine the two for some really unique accessories.
I put them up on etsy and myspace and had a pretty good response, but the actual dinosaurs weren't as popular as I had hoped. I started making some simple flowers, some nautical themed and got a better response.
I'd love it if you guys would check my stuff out and…

Anyone out there remember the legendary "Billy's Topless" in New York City, 24th and 6th AVE in the 1990's? If you do please share your stories.
Artist, Musicans, Bikers and the Wall St. Robots all gathered here to wet the thirst and look at the beautiful dancing ladies. The most unpretensious place on the planet.
I lived in Chelsea in the 1990's on 19th and 7th Ave, my subway stop was right there on 6th Ave, Billys Topless was next to a Hardware Store. Most of the girls working there…

So you should be taking care of yourself all the time, eating right, working out , etc, but sometimes you need a little extra boost in confidence and looks right before a shoot. So if you work out your arms and your abs right before a shoot, it will actually temporarily swell your muscles and give you a more toned appearance for about an hour or so.
Arms- You can always do more, but at minimum do these two exercises which require no equipment.
Do push ups
Tricep dips…

Oh My Goodness!
I finally tried on the costume (Marie Antoinette) that I am wearing for Halloween with the corset underneath, the stockings with the blue bows on the front that're satin, the jeweled and feathered wig,the white vintage lace fan with the tassle, the accessories (white satin wrist length gloves and double strand baby blue faux-pearls from my grandmother *circa 1947*) and soon to come, the Marie Antoinette four and 1/2 inch high lace trimmed-rhinestone-buckle-floral…

I'm going camping this weekend with some friends. Just an overnighter. Some people are going fishing (bleh! I can't sit still that long) and others are going shopping. I can't wait to go on this beautiful scenic hike. It's 3.5 miles long and takes you right by a waterfall. Gorgeous right? Serene and peaceful.
Do you know what I'm thinking about? Making sure I take notes and pictures for optimal settings for photo shoots.
Yeah, you might say I've got it…

Last night i worked for 6 hours straight on my corset.. with AMAZING results.. I am so excited for this costume to come together.. I took only 2 pictures.. one of the first layer and the second of the 'scales' sewn on.. I would love some feedback.. but keep in mind, it isn't finished.. I just wanted to post progress picks.. i still have to do the edges, the lacing, the eyelets, the details.. etc... so you're looking at the base of my creature.
XOXO

Lately, I have been trying to master my "pin up" makeup, especially the red lips. I discovered a really cool secret through trial and error, so I thought I would share! First of all, I tried the whole lipliner thing and I just couldn't get the hang of it. No matter what I did, it looked smudged and gross. So, I decided to take a different approach. What I do now is, first I moisturize my lips with a thick moisturizer, let it set and wipe it off. Then I take a really fine lip brush and put a…

"It was beautiful in Longmont. Under a tremendous old tree was a bed of green lawn-grass belonging to a gas station. I asked the attendant if I could sleep there, and he said sure; so I stretched out a wool shirt, laid my face flat on it, with an elbow out, and with one eye cocked at the snowy Rockies in the hot sun for just a moment. I fell asleep for two delicious hours, the only discomfort being an occasional Colorado ant. And here I am in Colorado! I kept thinking gleefully. Damn! damn!…

So far so good. Made some new friends, and made enough money just from watching training videos one day (for 6 hours) to get myself to the danzig concert friday night!
My body's a little sore though. I haven't worked since February and Haven't really worked anywhere this busy before. I think that's what I like about it. I'm so busy making coffee or ringing in orders or making food that the time just flies. I usually don't really have time to look at he clock until about 3 hours has gone…

Our first cocktail for Tipsy Tuesday!
DRY MARTINI
"The debate over the origins of the Martini will rage as long as there are bars. While most often associated with vermouth-producer Martini & Rossi, many claim that Martini di Taggia, bartender at New York's Knickerbocker Hotel, mixed the first "dry" Martini in the late 19th century. What constitutes it remains hotly contested. Some bartenders prefer a dash of vermouth, others just whisper the name over the… Continue

I've never been what I would call a great beauty. The most I've ever coined myself as is "cute." As such, I've always hated having my picture taken or people looking at pictures of me. I think it comes from growing up and seeing others get attention while I kinda sat in the background. But, I always made up for it by just hanging with the guys. I spent alot of time in the garage and have made solid friendships that have lasted my whole life.
Now, I've been working out and running. My…
