So you should be taking care of yourself all the time, eating right, working out , etc, but sometimes you need a little extra boost in confidence and looks right before a shoot. So if you work out your arms and your abs right before a shoot, it will actually temporarily swell your muscles and give you a more toned appearance for about an hour or so.
Arms- You can always do more, but at minimum do these two exercises which require no equipment.
Do push ups
Tricep dips (position yourself at the edge of a chair, with your hands on the chair at your sides, fingers facing towards you and lower your butt towards the ground and back to starting.)
Do however many of these you can really
Abs-
PILATES!!!!!!
Sample routine
Criss cross (aka bicycle to some people)
Single straight leg stretch-switch legs
double straight leg stretch-same as single leg, just glueing both legs together and lifting and lowering them together as one unit from right over your hips to about a 45 degree angle
double leg stretch-extend arms and legs out long, then curl up in a ball, inhale extend, exhale curl.

side plank-many options depending on your strenght. you can lift the top leg and hold it in place to make it harder, you can lower onto your forearm if your wrist hurts. Either try to hold it as long as you can or attempt to lower the hips to the ground and lift them.
Traditionally you do about 10 of each exercise, do what you can/have time to do. Do this before a shoot and you will see a difference. You should do this often of course, but it will make a difference in appearance before a shoot.
