I will be in Disneyland, again! It's my b-day and I can't wait to get down there and celebrate. Going with good friends, meeting up with friends, old and new, and the pin up lifestlyle meet! I can't think of a better way to spend the weekend.
Now... what on earth am I gonna wear......

I found John here on pinuplifestyle.com and I added him on myspace.
On Friday, he featured me as a "pin up of the day" and wrote a sweet feature on me that is just all kinds of flattering. Thank you so much, John! It is truly an honor to be in the prescence of other gorgeous pinup girls on your wonderful site!
xoxo,

Time and again I fall in love with Sci-Fi icons, the first being Lt. Uhura, andYeoman Rand from Star Trek, but I do tend to come back to Servelan from Blake's 7, a BBC show from the late 70's early 80's, portrayed by Jacqueline Pearce. I thought it would be nice to put up some of the character's pictures, which at the time were quite revolutionary - a powerful female antagonist who was strong and yet feminine, and with the passing of time, a touch of camp that I love:…

Violet Absinthe....I know all of you here know me currently as ShadyLayne. Well I have come to change my name for certain reasons. For one, I have found out someone else is known by the same name, and though it is spelled differently, I felt it wasnt fair to either of us. As for who had started first, dont know. Besides I didnt think the name fit me well enough. So, I have come to change it to Violet Absinthe....and apparently it seems to fit better!!! I figured I would let you all know....and…

I love shoes.
I know I'm not the first one to profess this love and it's awfully cliched, but I love shoes.
I love heels and boots and wedges and even flats. All are worthy in my eyes.
(Well, except for Uggs and Crocs. The less said about them, the better. I have a sneaky suspicion though that when the apocalypse comes, cockroaches will be making their homes in them. You mark my words.)
You know those shoes no one else will wear? The ones featured on…

Hello folks. Thanks for checking out my profile. I'm a pinup photographer who truly loves making the kind of images that you love to see. Classic black & white retro glamour done right. I really go all out in my effort to make my work look authentic. I try to imagine how I would work if I were a photographer shooting for a pinup magazine back in 1963. In fact I created my own pinup magazine
UNLIMITED and it's my pride and joy. Those who've seen it really enjoy it and I'm…

*There are no snow days- there are "temperature" days- where they only close school at -65F below (on these days, they don't count tardies, but you still have to show up if you can).
*There are moose and bears and wolves.
*90% of Natives tip like s*** (a lot of them are drunks, wandering around downtown).
*You can see Mt. McKinley (Denali- the largest mountain in North America) from Fairbanks on a clear day.
*Wolves have been known to pick off people's dogs outside of city…

You know, I have NEVER blogged, but in this case I must! I LOOOOVE PIN UP LIFE STYLE! I didn't even know what it was known as. I use to call it the 'Swinger' style, because it reminds me of the era when the girls all dressed up like dolls and danced away to jazzy blues!
I want to take this time to tell EVERYONE that has been welcoming me here that I DO APPRECIATE ALL THE LOVE! Thanks so much! I can now learn how to do my hair!!! I think I am going to have to cut :o(! Its down to my…

I wrote this a couple of years ago, paying homage to all of my female friends and family....
The life of a woman is extremely rewarding yet completely complex. We were put together so differently than men. Women are made to be soft, to cry, and emotionally unchained. We will experience things in our lives no man could ever understand. The moment of birth.....That special bond you share with your child... or even what it feels like to a woman to want to love and nurture those around…

Hello there all,
I would just like to start by saying thank you to those who welcomed me to the site, it is great to be part of this wonderful site and all its fantastic, friendly members, thank you all so much :-)
I am new to the site but not to the Cheesecake and 1940's-1950's lifestyle or modelling and performing. I have been a model and performer for 11 years now. I started as a cage dancer in The Rummer Basement in Bristol for a company called Spank, who I also…

Last Tuesday I went to Burlesque day at Disneyland and it was a blast! I met some wonderful new people and spent time with some I already knew. It was a great day filled with hi-jinx, laughs, and many many pictures. I'm so glad I went and can't wait for next year.... I also can't wait for next week, when I back to the park again!
Wanna know more? See some pix? Check it out here... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=421586036

I'm in a decidedly good mood.
Went to a show tonight with my friend Meghan, the Rock Final Four, for my friend Kim's band, Death By Adam. It was amazing - great energy! And it served to remind me how lacking I am in social skills. It's like I'm not wired right, missing bits and pieces.
Have I always been socially defective? I think so. I'm so insecure, I dissect myself in front of everyone. It's humiliating.
Ah well. I'm going to have to learn to get over it.
I'm too tired…
