Food For Thought

There's been a lot of discussion going on about diets and healty eating so I thought I'd include the article below. Tax Time Brings Tears..

So I got my tax return yesterday...and I thought yay! Here's the money I need to get some film equipment and new ink! Wrong! The bureaucrats at Revenue Canada put ALL the money, that's right...ALL 500 dollars towards paying my student loan and another b******* debt they claim I have (some BC hospital bill..I never even used the hospital over there!). Kevin Smith Fest! Finally some fun!

Finally something nice happens! I got to meet Kevin Smith at Bloor Cinema last night! I even talked to him..well I really just asked him a couple of questions standing at a microphone while he stood on stage making jokes at my expense..and I laughed like a retard because I was so nervous! Here Today Gone Tomorrow

Well how do I begin? I wake this morning thinking it's gonna be a beautiful, perfect day...thinking I'll go to the bank and pay off some of my student loans. And do my grocery shopping for the week why not? I could try a new recipe in my "How It All Vegan" book. Yup, perfect...then I get a call to come into work..on my day off, why? Miracles can happen?

This is just to record something that happened to me a few weeks ago. I never thought someone could be so nice to me...just like that. I have this gawd awful shift that ends at 3 in the f****** morning. So I have to stand outside waiting for a night bus (because Toronto can't have good public transit running 24/7 oh hell no...) Lights out

So they cut the electricity (including heat and gas) in my house...in the middle of January, in the middle of a VERY cold winter. I live with my mom, her boyfriend and my brother. After years of living with roommates in Vancouver I thought that coming back home would make my life easier. It's been almost the complete opposite.

My mom works two jobs and she still can't afford to pay all the bills. I have to pay rent in order to help them make payments.
