Since my last post, BJB has asked me to refrain from talking about my menstrual cycle. So I'd like to start this blog off by only stating the I'm MC Menses, and my flow be fresh...

Okay, I've gotten that out of my system. We played our show last night at the Chubby Pickle in Windsor, ON. Sadly, they did not have any t-shirts for sale so I have no way of commemorating the show. As wonderful a name as The Chubby Pickle is, they are not only not capitalizing on it, but…

I was at work last night, driving my squad car from site to site, listening to the radio.
It felt, to me, as if the DJ knew exactly the songs to play, in just the right order, to stir up some old emotions.
I was cruising along interstate 80 at a cool 70 mph with the window down just
enough so I could keep the damp October air flowing around my head.
The pained voice of Raine Maida, front man for Our Lady Peace, flowing out of the stock speakers,
directly into my ears,…

My First apartment was on the north side of the Tower District in Fresno.
My first roommate was my very dear friend since birth, Nathan Stevens. These days people were calling him "Dez"
It took a few months but the name grew on me and before long I was calling him by his self-chosen rocker name.
At one point i even tattooed "Dez" on his leg with a homemade machine made from a guitar string, a motor from a Walkman, a Bic pen, a bent spoon and some Higgins's fountain pen ink. Far…

I was a "cutter" for about a month when I was 14. and Ill tell you something. it f****** WORKS. you see the blood leaving your body and you feel the pain along with it...and somehow your brain (or at least mine) confuses that pain with whats really bothering you and it all goes away. Not forever though. everything in this life is temporary. Everything. I only did it for a month because I quickly realized that I was causing permanent damage, in order to achieve a very temporary cure, to a deep…

I have been living in Sacramento, CA for almost 2 years now...working full time as a private security officer.
Now, keep in mind, a full time job may not sound like a special or
new idea to you or anyone else for that matter, but for me...it's a brand new world.
I was 15 in 1996. A short, highly under developed (or as my mother calls it, "late bloomer" )
freshman in high school in the small Swedish village of Kingsburg, CA
The town had been dubbed the "Swedish…

There is something sinister about my menstrual cycle. I know there are a lot of Earth Mother types out there who will shake their heads at my lack of enthusiasm about my 'natural body rhythms', but for me personally it's a load of honk. My cramps are crippling and feel like my uterus isn't "part of the harmonized whole" but that it's trying to punch it's way out of my body. All in all, the symptoms seem to be tied into the phases of the moon and not in any positive way. After undergoing some…

Ah, finally my life is calming down! I feel like it's been a non stop stress fest, lol! My son is doing well, I'm able to sleep and well, things are good for the moment. I've been gone from the scene for a while and am now at the point where I'm ready to emerge from my cave and rejoin life.... I kinda feel like it's a cheesy catipillar to a butterfly reference! Oh well, I'm ready for whatever is coming my way, I hope! I'm glad to see that everything here is still running as usual. Arg, I can't…

In it's lifetime, the average honeybee produces 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey.
So... 12 bees died for the honey in my tea? Nice.

Hello all,
Well it has been a crazy few weeks. I went to Vegas with a friend for her birthday and then I have been sewing like a mad woman getting my costume ready for my burlesque debut. I did a 1920's Charleston routine at Lannie's Cabaret in Denver. I was scared to death. I have major stage fright. But I worked through it and it was pretty good. I am looking forward to doing more performances. I already have other songs and other costume ideas in mind. I do have a few pics and a…
