So, remember that job I applied for a while ago, writing articles for the website, examiner.com?

I told myself I wasn't going to write anymore but I started to feel empty inside.

ATTENTION ALL PINUPS....... your ticket to a perfect photo shoot is here...... and his name is Jason Allen!

After yesterday, my advice to ANY model is: "GET A PHOTO SHOOT WITH JASON ALLEN". No matter what it takes, DO IT. Our shoot together was AMAZING! He is EXCEPTIONALLY easy to pose for, very down to earth and friendly yet professional at the same time so the comfort level is INSANE . It was GREAT fun and having Piper Rubie there to do makeup, assist with lighting and help come up with groovy ideas for different shots was a BIG plus. They make a wonderful team!!

I have found my quiet place to write. I've gone for the last two weeks after leaving work. I feel inspired there... and peaceful. There's something about this spot that moves me. Maybe it's because it's late at night, I am a night owl and am most creative in the dark with just the shallow gleam of a street lamp and a tiny, clip on book-light to aid my sight . I am envious of my children. Ah, to be young again... when saying the word "poopy" could make you giggle and laugh for hours and the biggest disappointment you faced was having to take a nap.

Oooooo... that smell. Can't you smell that smell?

I found this website called MapMyRun.com. You can chart out and plan your route. It tells you the mileage and there's a personal training log where you can keep track of your goals and times etc. There are running forums, route suggestions in your area and information on running events. I am really starting to enjoy it! Good stuff.

Hangin' loose



Well, Aloha!



I'm teeming with excitement! Ditching the husband and headed to a 'luau' at 6 tonight to celebrate King Kamehameha Day. The BEST part is I get to wear a cheongsam dress my grandma made back in the '40s. It's GORGEOUS and I've been waiting for an excuse to put it on!!

Crash and Burn..... An exciting day in the life of Syd.

Yesterday, I went on a 7mile bike ride. My son was at a friends house and I have a two-seat-er cart that pulls behind, so I buckled up my girls and off we went. It was a wonderful day for it; overcast with a nice breeze so not too hot. We rode around a couple of lakes and checked out the water fowl.
