Fitness blog---Sports Bras, are they necessary?

If you don't wear a good sports bra, exercising can make your breasts sag! High-impact activities, particularly jogging or aerobics, can stress your Cooper's ligaments, the connective tissue that keeps breasts firm. Compression bras work best for smaller-busted women; the more well-endowed (typically a C cup or larger) need an "encapsulation" bra that supports each breast separately. Replace workout bras about every 6 months.

Here are some good ones:

Believe it or not Wal Mart happens to have Danskin Bras, ranging from $9-$10. They are modeled after the old Victoria's Secret sports bras which are no longer made :( The packaging states if it is a medium or high impact bra. I like the high impact one a lot and it still makes your chest look good :)

No matter where you are looking for your sports bras, you do need to know what you are looking for. If you are over an American A cup, you cannot just get a compression bra (the ones that just squish you down) you have to look for one that supports each breast. They do not have to have underwire, but there are several which do have comfortable underwire now. They also need to have large supportive straps. Racerback is preferable because of the way it holds you up. Any type of mesh that is incorporated is great too to help with keeping you cool, keeping you from breaking out and to extend the life of your bra.

Any advice for finding good sports bras in the UK?

Ummmm, any recommendations for a 32G? I have never found anything to support me properly, short of strapping myself down with bandages. To get a cup size that fits, I have to settle for a band that's far too big and - duh - unsupportive. Gah!

I've just edited my blog content. Check it out.

Also---beware of the ones that just squish you down! Make sure when looking online or in a store that you are looking for molded individual cups.
