Can a girl with black skin be a pin up?

Hi Ladies! I'm new here and I want to ask a question I had in my mind since I discovered pin up. I looked some discussions and I didn't find something explaining this, and If this isn't in the right place I'm sorry :(

 

My question is: Can a black girl be a pin up? A lot of people told me this cannot be possible because every pin up girl has white skin, and the make up they wear is special for that skin. 

 

(And sorry for my bad english)

Yes a Black Girl can be a Retro Pinup who ever told you no is wrong! There is many pretty Black Girls and Ladies who are very stunning Pinups! Most Retro Pinup was the Girl Next Door Look and if Curvy even better.

Retro Pinup is mostly Attitude check out some old retro Magazines on google such as Flirt check out the way they pose and go from there. Don't let some one try to intimidate you or tell you falsely other wise. ~Bill

You are beautiful! Of course you can be a pin up! That's the whole point of modern/retro pin up...I love that the models are all shapes sizes and colors! That is why I pursue this type of photography over other forms of pin up.

Of course you can be a pin up doll, skin color does not matter. Beauty comes in all colors. You go for it and do not listen to those who tell you that you can not do something.

Yes that and she implied that she would like to see a black pinup doing HOUSEWORK Im surprised Im the ONLY person here addressing that offensive statement which I see has now been deleted and on the subject of "red lipstick not looking good on olive skin" ...you need to find another shade of red because red lipstick DOES work on ANY skintone Im kind of offended that this is even a topic of discussion and that people are shocked by all the positive responses I expect there to be positive responses this is 2011...

 Hey now..don't knock housework..Im a housewife and proud of it, and love doing housework. I really don't think that girl meant anything racial by that comment, because back then, alot of ladies worked at home and in my opinion, worked harder than most guys do. Women were, are, and always will be the backbone of a family, black, white, yellow..you name it. As far as I'm concerned, there are no more barriers left to judge, and its time to understand that for your own piece of mind, so you don't get confused when someone just means well. You can help the "old style" " ignorant" way of thinking diminish by not taking things to heart when they mean no harm. We are all beautiful women, regardless of age, color or weight, and a womans beauty starts with her heart :-)

Can a black girl be a pin up model yes?  But you have to under stand that back in the let 40s mid 60s you just did not see any black models black models did not exist was a lot of racism so you did not see them any where if you was a move start then you can see some of them.
