For those that may not know, the night before leaving to Vegas for viva we evacuated the house in KY to make a run for a storm shelter. I tossed my computers into the safest room in the house and removed a few drives and made a run for it with Desi's family, Giana, & pets. We got lucky that night, I streamed live from there and it was windy as hell, scary as hell and the sirens did go off multiple times. A few hours later and we were home safe.

Unfortunately for Desi & family that wasn't the end of it, as I took off for Viva on a clear day, then here in SF over the next 2wks they have been living with a constant fear almost daily of insane storms, tornado warnings, watches and sirens. I cant express how uneasy it is to know you cant fall asleep without the feeling that something is going to reach down from the sky and beat the s*** out of you and your family.

Just yesterday they let people out of work and school early in our county to get people home for some massive storms, hail came, sirens went off and I believe another run to a storm shelter. WTF is going on with this world? Lucky for us nothing ended up happening and the storms took a slightly different course, here is that storm.

Im intrigued at the thought that Las Vegas doesnt have quakes, tornados, hurricanes or zombies...seriously considering getting the hell outta dodge! For all that were affected by these incredible storms over the past week, I hope friends and family are all ok and i wish for a fast recovery from damages.

I hope everyone is ok. The earth shakes here, but that's nothing compared to those storms. Please please please everyone stay safe, and if you feel the need to leave, come crash on my couch!!

Desi.... COME HOME!!!! I don't like the thought of you in danger, come home where it's safe!!

we are here just outside Louisville, KY and it has been CRAZY around here the last couple of weeks. I work overnight several nights a week and it seems those are the nights of the worst storms leaving me at work worrying about my husband and kids back home. We have a weather alert radio and it will blast you out of bed if something is headed this way, giving us time to seek shelter. We have been blessed not to have any damage from the storms other the the horse pastures are totally a muddy mess, and some fencing that needs attention.

and while we have had constant smaller storms, that big one that hit Alabama was far worse....

seems so so scary!! please stay safe!

We live on the eastside of Cincy and my basement has flooded TWICE in the last week!! I am super stressed now that whenever it rains I panic and need to be home, and when I am home it hasn't flooded. My falcon is in the basement and my husbands new truck got flooded in the driveway...totaled it! Ugh

Although I still have a roof and am alive so I will count my blessings!!

I've never seen anything like that!!! How are they allowed in a car during this?? I live in Townsville and we just had cyclone yasi and the cops woulda shot us for being on the road!!! Thats SUPER scary!!! Hope everyone's ok!!
My family is from Alabama. The storms there last night were devistaing. Places i've known since I was a little girl are no longer standing. As far as I know, my family is ok coming out with only minor damage. It is terrifying not knowing if all my childjood friends are safe and well with the already high and rising death count. I was in the deadly tornado in little rock a few days ago and had to.seek shelter in a mens truck stop bsthroom with my boyfriend.and our two puppies. They are saying the deep south is being hit harder than tornado alley.
...that's what the south is all about Edson. you'll learn to get used to it. ALWAYS have a plan, and an emergency kit that you can grab and go with.. I'm glad your family is ok.  <3

Glad that y'all are ok! I have never seen a tornado with my own eyes, but every year back home in Jarrell we have a bad storm that scares the bageebus out of us and we run for shelter!! Last year there was a tornado watch and it was so dark that we couldn't see the skies for crap!! That was the scariest because how are you supposed to tell where one is or coming from when it's pitch black and water is coming at ya in waves and the wind is nearly knocking you to the ground!?! So scary!

Moving to Vegas does sound nice though! :D

So glad you and yours are all right.  I have family out there, my mom was able to get in touch with them this afternoon to confirm they're okay, without power and some minor damage but still okay.

I'll stick to my little corner of Earthquake Country.  By the time you know there's a quake happening, it's usually almost over, you don't have to watch it coming at you and wonder if or how hard it's going to hit...

I think I probably would have peed myself a bit.  Are they crazy for being out there in that?  I live in VA and they've been throwing out tornado warnings for the last 2 days.  Day before yesterday there was golf ball sized hail but the circulation apparently passed about 20 miles northeast of us with no complete touchdown (thankfully, I live in a wood house, that would be like a puff of matchsticks going up if it came anywhere near).  They had another one this morning that again passed just shy of me but let me just say the sky turned about as dark as it would have around sunset and that was at 10 am.  Hail wasn't so bad and it rained like hell but again no complete touchdown just some serious flooding and lightning.  I have nightmares about stuff like that video clip.  I'm praying this psycho weather ends and soon.

Sorry to hear about this mess.

We got caught up in a bad tornado while vending at an air show in Florida on the first week of April and we were locked up in the hanger for quite a while. It was pretty scary. Over 40 of the aircraft on the ground got damaged and much more destruction all over the place.

Luckily there were barely any injuries as far as I know. The weather is definitely getting crazy!

And the moral of the story folks: Des and Edson need to move back to the bay where the biggest worry is too much fog and the occasional tremor.
