Bad news about Chomp the pitbull!

Chomp had his initial surgery to have his injured tail amputated on Dec 23. Over the weekend his tail was not healing and was an open wound and his bone even started to protrude from the end. We are very unhappy with the vet we took him to seeing as we paid $620 that we didn't have, for a surgery that a mentally challenged chimp could have performed better. Chomp's Going into Surgery Today

Yesterday's Vet appointment confirmed that Chomp's tail must be amputated. They recommended amputating it almost completely. He will end up with a nub kinda like a rottweiler. His injury got worse almost over night and we tried to call the 24 hour emergency clinic but all 50 times that I called it was busy every time. We are in need of some help from friends and pit bull lovers this holiday!

Chomp is such a happy puppy that he never stops wagging his tail! He has split it opened by hitting it on the furniture so much that it is in really bad shape!
