I am a big fan of burlesque n the whole lifestyle. I am looking to become a host for more events in my area and really grow n explore the industry. If anybody has any tips or helpful info thats always appreciated. I play the saxophone, do belly dancing and am currently learnin British sign language not to mentiona business on the side to earn the cash.
I really want to get into burlesque performance and am looking into lessons but find they are very limited in my area so must wait to branch out further afield

Model for a day!

Ok so way back when I posted my first blog I was approached by the nicest lady [possibly everrrr] to have a go at modelling for her shop. It was great, like te absolute icing on the cake for me and I was excited to oblivion... OK, so yesterday i actually attended my first burlesque show! i went alone and it was GREAT!!! I didnt even invite anybody because i tend to get let down wen i do so i'd been plucking up the courage to go for WEEKS...



It was the Lucky 13s night at the Rocket Club in Birmingham and it was really good... perhaps my judgement is not so reliable becuase i was a first timer but it did giv a good insight into what goes on. Im impressed and even more so enthused abt burlesque and performing… Continue

Ok, so like ive wanted to get into burlesque forever!!!! i remeber being like 14 and seeing a documentary on dita von tesse and thinkin how good she looked in her clothes in every picture she had... that was the moment that REALLY sealed the deal...

Any one can become a sickgirl just go to my myspace page and follow the instructions and fulfill the requirements then contact me and your in. I've only had a problem with adding one girl and it was because she was posting those fake work from home adds to everyone on my friends list. You don't have to be a model or burlesque preformer. Anyone can be a Sickgirl.

Hello honey. You should google Ministry of Burlesque because they list many of the burly events in the UK. It is also worth joining Facebook because a lot of regional burly performers and troupes have pages. Get networking baby! xx
