England!!

Hello there,
So I'm planning on going to England this summer with a friend of mine who's from there. We were gonna go this winter but that did'nt work out..thank goodness becuase it was a really bad winter! Anyway I wanna know from the people who actually live there about places to go, shops, clubs,bars,etc. Especially ones that cater to fans of psychobilly, punk, rockabilly, that sorta thing. My friend is more into mod, soul and ska so we got that covered. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Yeah, I know it's a bit early but it's better to plan ahead right? So sick of Toronto...yeah,I intend on bringing back at least two suitcases full of loot and seeing as many shows as my ears/eyes can take! : ) I'm saving my pennies..
So any suggestions/recommendations? Thanks!!

Where abouts in England are you visiting?

For the scene you're looking for I'd stay close to London because I know for where I live there is very little. If you're over around the middle of August however there's a new show at Goodwood Motor Track on the south coast which - although this is the first year - is almost certainly going to be amazing.

And when in London there's all the boutiques to shop at - maybe get a new hairstyle at Nina's Hair Palour. Also there's a brilliant burlesque show by the Hurly Burly Girls, but I'm not sure of the dates on that one.

Honestly as many places as I can! We're even going to Ireland and Scotland if there's time..so if anyone knows of places there..let me know! Can't wait to meet some hot Scots and Irish men..note to self go to Costco before trip to get a box of...you know where this is going I hope..haha! : P
There's also Spain and France on the list of places because I've got relatives in Spain. France will have to be a daytrip because we don't know anyone there.
Oh yeah and I think the town where we're staying is called Tottenham..I'm bad with names. Anyway I don't mind traveling a couple of hours to get to London or whereever. In Canada I cover that distance just to get to work! To get to Montreal from here it's 6-7 hours by car. But I'll do it if there's a good show. So long travel times don't intimidate me..I'm Canadian dammit! lol : P

I'm going to Dublin in a couple of weeks, so I'll do a bit of scouting around to see if there is anything to see and do for you :)

Scotland: Spider's Web Pub...last Saturday of the month is Rockabilly and they have bands play
Ireland: VooDoo Lounge

Spain: Psychobilly Gathering is the last weekend in June or first in July in Callafel (I think? it used to be Callela but it moved). Psychobilly Gathering is the biggest psychobilly festival in the world with the best bands.

Cool! What was this Club Noir place about? And yes, Scotland is on top of the list of places I wanna see! It looks so nice on TV.. : )

Ha ha hmm it does have its moments! lol club noir is a glasgow burlesque retro club night they have every few months (normally with a theme) not sure if you know of vanity kills and chelsea dagger? they perform in the noir show.
