Things to do in L.A?

So, hubbie and I have finally booked our much belated honeymoon!!! Oh yes!

But now I have a sticky wicket...

We are going to Singapore, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and then L.A. Most of these places we are meeting up with friends, etc... but our friend that was supposed to be meeting us in L.A. can no longer make it.

What do we do in L.A. for 5 days next May??

I've been before but I didn't do anything touristy then and don't plan to now - so what I'm really looking for are some hidden gems. Quirky and interesting places to go.

I need ideas!!!!

I always find it fascinating how such a civilised and advanced culture could be so uncivilised!

I love Classics! Went to Greece in April and saw all the big sites, but I'm much more of a Roman girl than a Greek girl, so hopefully I'll get to Italy soon to see all that! Did you watch Spartacus: Blood and Sand? I loved that series!

I took a look around the Egyptology unit because it was just down stairs from the Archaeology unit, but I've never really wanted to delve into that area really. I loved even the building for the course! Some famous jazz singer (I can't believe I've forgotten his name!) grew up there, so that made me happy too!

Awesome! I wanna work in a museum too, maybe one of those 'living' museums where I'll get to dress up everyday aha! I did Classics and History at A level, but am still waiting for my grades - the 19th August is looming ever nearer! If I get BBB then I'm off to Liverpool. So so so excited!

Raised by a family of bikers in the quaint English countryside, I grew up listening to Elvis and Buddy Holly, in fact, Buddy Holly was my fav singer - I was devestated at the age of ten when I discovered he was dead!
