Swimsuit dilemma!

I have a case of the wants for this adorable swimsuit that I spotted on glamoursurf.com:

At $179, it's not the most outrageously priced vintage swimsuit I've seen, but I can't justify buying it unless I sell off my vintage Surf Togs swimsuit, which I've never even worn! I need to just suck it up and admit that the Surf Togs suit is too big for me, and I'll never wear it. I just hate to see it go; all pretty and shiny and trimmed in gold...

After listing the shiny blue ’40s-vintage swimsuit on eBay, mentioning the listing here and on Twitter, listing it again because it had no bids the first time... it finally sold for $67.66. To the gal who runs Glamoursurf.com, where you can now buy it for her asking price of $230. She even copied-and-pasted most of the ad copy I wrote for the eBay listing!

Unfortunately, the low bid price means that I can't afford to buy from Glamoursurf the swimsuit that started this whole thing. Boooo.

Hmmmm, both are cute but if you really like the Surf Tog suit, it would be cheaper to have it professionally fitted : )

Oooh, that's such a cool poster! I dug the blue swimsuit out from the depths of my closet, and I'm letting it de-wrinkle a bit before I re-photograph it. I also found a Rose Marie Reid swimsuit that I may part with, and a cute zodiac-print playsuit/tennis dress kind of thing. I'd better find and charge my camera!
