When you first start off everything is more or less TFCD to help gain your experience and when you have this agreement you exepct them to follow it through.

I am an experienced Model now in all areas as well as Pi n Up so for me to accept TFCD its either to help a friend or that photographer is really going to benifit my portfolio.

I did a TFCD with a photographer almost a year ago and i am still to receive any pictures despite calling him, emailing and texting.

He doesn't even say that i can't have them, he continuoulsy says ' I'll post them today' or 'yearh we'll meet up'. Then soesn't show up.

I find this incredibly disrespectful. If the tog isnt happy with the images and doesn't want to give them just tell me instead of getting my hopes up.

I really hate these kinds of people. What a waste of my time.

Has any body else had experiences like this?

Did you call him and say ...

"Look "Bob" no hard feelings at all if you aren't happy with the photos and don't ever want them to see the light of day, I understand fully. But right now i'm led to believe i'm missing out on some amazing photos? Just be straight with me, fair? Will I ever see these? Say no and I will stop looking forward to them and post an appropriate review on our session."
Wow that issue bites, sorry to hear about that-

At worst I can imagine the photog might have had a problem with lighting
and film camera issues - and - being under experienced, maby he
retained the photos to save cred. Under exposed or over exposed photos are useless.
Still, by telling you 'I'll post them soon' or 'lets meet up' is a big mistake that
makes the issue worse.

I fully agree with Daddy C about confronting the person.

My only bad experience has been paying for a set that couldnt be developed for similar
reasons but it was an experiment and risk I was willing to make with that photog for some
crazy unique photos. I was only down $50.00 but the trip and expenses (plus MUA)
made it $180.00 out the window.

I believe making things clear before anything is shot is important.
If you are gonna count on the photos for something important, make that clear.
but, by all means if you both do a project to experiment
you can only be 50/50 on getting anything back.
was the shoot at his studio? show up at the studio... YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE EXTRA COOL??? : you go in, confront him, with a TFCD shoot on set, and you let the model for a TFCD shoot be aware of the Chon-sey trade!

but they are right... he is maybe scared of showing you, HIS mistake! maybe the lighting was off

I have asked him all the questions under the sun. Are you happy with etc what's the problem and he just keeps saying 'oh I'll send them'.
Nightmare :-(
I here you loud and clear!!! I've actually tlaked about this a few times on PL. Here is a link to my reply on another discussion of a similiar topic: http://pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/wheres-my-cd-of-pictures-the...
Even if photos are a little under or over exposed it is still possible to 'rescue' them in photoshop, often by going for the black and white or 'arty' look - to fail to deliver is frankly not on. I always let my TFCD models have a selection of images within a couple of days and the proof CD within the week (fortunately never had a shoot with technical problems...probably because on digital you can instantly check the results)
The crazy thing is as well I am a Photographer and I have an extensive understanding of photoshop and adobe light room and with permission i would gladly spend some time trying to resurect them.
