How would I get the jelly in there? I like this idea and want to try it out. Perhaps if I cut a circle out, like with butterfly cakes, and make the circle the face? That might work I suppose. I think I just answered my own question...

Oooooh, with a jelly filling? So they get squishy and gore-y when you bite them? :D

Zombie cupcakes sound exciting! Are they green on the inside? I did that once, by putting green food colouring in the cake mixture.
Yes, how do you get jelly in there? I suppose you'd have to mutilate the cupcake in some way...which would be appropiate for Zombie cupcakes...My Zombie cupcakes are just vanilla with white frosting (like corpse white) and I splatter "blood" (red food colouring) all over their faces. For the Evil Crazy Clowns I used the red coloring to make scarred smiles like you know who. And used smarties for the hair and eyes. You'll see once I post the pics.
oh yeah and the clown cupcakes were double chocolate...yum!

You can fill cupcakes by poking them with a small decorating tip coupled to a pastry bag. Some grocery stores have them, or Michael's carries them in their Wilton cake decorating aisle.

AAAHH! I LUUUURVE the Pac-Man ones!! **steals idea** my kids b-day's are coming up next month!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! No clowns please.. Then I don't get to look at this thread anymore.. and I love baking, although, not a big fan of marzipan, it's so useful, but I'm not big on the flavour or the weeping in heat:/
My favourite cupcakes that I made were Octopus cupcakes for a friends birthday.. but by the end, trying to insert the gummyworm tentacles, drunk as a lord... My cupcake was the evil chasm of doom cupcake.. Tentacles and gel icing EVERYWHERE!
But so delicious.

My late and dear Aunt Charlene used to make us "Cookie Monster sundaes" when we were little kids, I had a flash back when I saw the pics, so you could decorate a scoop of ice-cream in the same manner....Good memories, good times....SIGH
