I know that the pin up world isnt as big as the mainstream world is...so I was wondering...where does a pin up girl get paid work?

Get your name and face out there on modeling sites and vintage car shows.

Not exactly pin up, but parts modeling (hands, feet, pants, socks, etc) is a very good modeling gig to get into. Sounds a bit weird, so you have to be slightly quirky to 'get' it, but it's very easy, and it's always needed in commercial settings. And it's easy!

I started out with Suicide Girls. Being naked was very very stressing. I have been doing more Burlesque and Pin-up work as of lately. It is not easy to get into this as a model. You do need to work hard at it, use every opportunity you are given, go to every event you are able to go to. I have been going to local car shows and offering myself to have pics taken with the cars and motorcycles. If the people would like more, we make deals to take more photos with more outfits and poses. I find that people who REALLY love their cars, like the idea of having them thrown back in time and "immortalized" with the pin-up style.  Be sure to keep up your bubbly, quirky, airy (not hairheaded) attitude. I mean, don't make a spectical of yourself, but don't walk around like you are suppose to be noticed.

Paid work in the modeling industry is tricky to come by, especially at first.   Paid work primarily comes from modeling for companies/products.   Other paid gigs come by way of membership sites (very few if any vintage pin up sites pay).    Most models are making money by building a strong fan base and then offering prints, and other personalized merchandise.     It can be done but takes lots of hustle.  A great example of this is Bianca Bombshell showcased in episode 1,   she is everywhere and works many hours a day.
