Hi pinup, I have had laser hair removal done over the years and I have to say it's life changing. It' something you have to maintain like maybe once a year after your initial treatments but it's soooo worth it. I found it to be no more or less painfull than waxing but the results are a million times better. I should say, I am a licensed skin care therapist and I would choose laser over wax any day. Good Luck I hope you find a good dermatologist  or med spa near you.

As an italian, I want to agree with the other posters and reiterate the wonders of laser hair removal. The process was pretty rough on the first application, but after that I purchased the numbing "EMLA" cream which can be applied an hour before your appointment, wrapped with saran wrap. If you have a tattoo on the area, laser tattoo removal isn't a good idea. I wish I had thought of this before I got any tattoos on my legs.

I had it done on my underarms about 5 times. For a while the hair seemed thinner, or maybe just finer. But it did hurt a lot and smelled awful. 

It also really did not last. Not worth the money at all.

Although I might be too pale for it. They say it works best on women with fair skin and dark hair.
