I currently have a below-the-ear hair length after growing out a pixie cut and I'm having the most difficult time styling it! If I pin curl, it becomes a big afro and bigger curls just don't seem to hold. Anyone have suggestions? I'd appreciate it xo

There's this book on called Vintage Hairstyling by Lauren Rennells and there's a very short "Tiki Lounge" hairstyle that's adorable and could work for you. Here's a link to see it and some other hairstyles:

The tiki one is very short and the girl's hair was below the ears too.

She uses a small curling iron, single prong clips, thermal spray, pomade, bobby pins, hairspray and a rat tail to do this.

Ooooh these are pretty!! thank you hun!! I shall give this a try xox

No prob! I would do some comparision shopping for a good price too if you're interested in purchasing the book.

You can also make good use of fascinators for your hair as well.
