Have any of you lovely PL ladies seen this site? HRST BOOKS The publishers write books on how to achieve mid-century make up and hair styles. Looks good, but is the content worth it?

 

These books might be a great resource for people just starting out in their vintage style obsession. I'm thinking of buying the hairstyle book...

 

What do you ladies think?

I have that and love it although I'm hairstyling challenged. I had mine bound at the office supply store so it would lay flat.

I love that hairstyle book, it has a great variety of styles from different decades and a few makeup/nail tips. Also it tells you everything you need for the styles! Alligator clips make pin curls sooo much easier! <3

I have the first edition of Vintage Hairstyles and find that it is very helpful to see how some classic styles are done peice by peice. Cover looks like this:

You can buy that one on Amazon and at most car shows. There are always one or two vendors who carry it. The author is actually a member here on PL.

The Retro MakeUp book that she also published is amazing!! I highly recommend that book as well! :)
