What's the one style you love to hate?

I have been chatting with friends on another site and it came to my attention that there are a TON of fashion trends that I seriously DISLIKE! Heck, border on LOATHE even. LOL

 

So now I bring the discussion to my PL peeps! What is the one fashion fad that you simply CAN NOT STAND?! It can be from any era, decade, country... whatever and wherever!

 

Post up those pics people! But please remember! KEEP IT NICE IN HERE! We don't want people arguing about what they think is best.

 

Fashion is all a matter of opinion anyway!

This may be a resurgence of the plaid grunge style. Ugh... no please. Plaid- yes. Plaid un-tucked, wrinkled and mismatched- NO.

Tracy - definitely agree on the baggy/saggy pants. But I love to see guys running in them, good for a comedy movie. 

And your last picture@!#$@ I've never seen that style before, probably won't make it SC.

This I dont tend to Judge But this Forever 21 crazy prints and cuts all mixed and matched You screams Out

I don't understand how looking rockabilly/greaser is faux retro - I'm sure the rockers and greasers of the 1950s and 1960s would disagree with you - but sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

1.  Skinny jeans...The greatest joke perpetrated on women by the clothing industry.  Unless you're a size 0-4 you look like a lollipop, which trust me is not a good look.

Oh and don't get me started on corsets and hot pants or as I like to call it,  "Hooker Billy".

I completely AGREE with you! I can not even justify the thought of wearing my pj's in public. People need to show they care about themselves a little more than that. Question would you rather see the night club 'hooker" super short dress or pj's in public during the day?

I think the PJ's in the second pics are cute... most likely for an event. It's the people that wear the ratty PJ's with house slippers and stained shirts out in pubic that make me wonder. Are mirror's really that offensive to people?

I hate drapey clothing! slightly loose, but tailored is okay, but the clothing that is "hangs" off your body irks me; as well as anything empire waisted:

I don't care what they claim, it makes you look pregnant, unless you are in fact pregnant. Or any of those silly looking sandals. Esh!!!

"Pictures #2 & 3 - Classic example of "PBS" (Prison B**** Syndrome).  For those that don't know, the whole pants sagging trend started in prison.  It was a signal to the other MEN that you are "available".

 

THANK YOU for stating this! I see this constantly on guys trying to look tough...I guess. Just to add a little more fuel to the fire, socks and athletic sandals or athletic anything in general if you're not actually playing a sport. Camouflage if you're not actually trying to hide, CROCS, things that proclaim what you are (Redneck, Gangster, etc.), androgynous hipster fashions where you can't tell the girls from the guys, short shorts that you're constantly dewedgifying because they are too short, ugly shoes with crazy colors and materials that look like moon boots, ...man I could go on for days...oh yeah what the heck were people thinking in the 70's?
