What do you do when you're too sick to model?

I've been trying to coordinate a shoot with a photographer and we both have had scheduling conflicts. We tentatively set a shoot for tomorrow night, but I woke up today completely sick. I have gone on shoots and pushed through the cold, but this time my face is swollen and I look like I have measles! Should I try and push through this or cancel? I just did a photo shoot with a sprained wrist so I know I can play through the pain, but my face looks awful =(

Call the photog and ask him what he wants to do. If you look bad, it's more work for him. Just be honest and see what happens.

What Roxy said.  Being in pain is one thing, you can work around and hide that if you have to, but a swollen face will more likely just result in a stack of unusable photos, and the photographer probably won't want that any more than you do.

Yeah, I'd maybe take a snapshot of your face to send to the photographer to 'show him the damage' and let him decide.. Maybe for this particular shoot could just take some sexy leg photos, you know how we looove stockings and heels on here!

Thanks! I talked to the photographer and we are rescheduled for next week! BTW, chicken soup is a lie!!! LOL...I still look rough, but I'm taking care of myself and I will be right as rain soon enough!
