Who's Uncle was Fester

I was flipping through the TV channels I have on Saturday and ran across an hour and a half long set of old Addams Family shows.  I watched the show now and then when I was a kid but wasn't a huge fan.   Somewhere in the middle of the second episode I started to wonder, "Who's uncle is Uncle Fester?"  After contemplating and watching for clues for the next 45minutes the question was still unanswered.  Then I realized, "I should ask my friends at Pinup Lifestyle, I bet there's some Addams Family freaks on there."  So there it is friends.  Who's uncle is Uncle Fester?

Understandable that you would wonder, since they weren't consistent with the facts even within the series ;)  He was originally written as Morticia's uncle, and later somehow and for some reason changed to Gomez's brother.  So in most of what they did with the Addams Family, Uncle Fester is Wednesday and Pugsley's uncle.

Harlean got it perfectly. In the show he was Morticia's mothers brother. When the show came back in the 90's he was introduced as Gomez's brother and in the movies he was the same (although in the show they were never separated and in the movies they were).

maybe he was both..   eh..  we dont know?   :)

 

speaking of the '90's version..  I never knew that existed until catching it on one of these Retro channels..  Its like watching Growing Pains or something..   Very odd.   I guess I didnt watch that channel when I was younger.

I gotta admit I like the show much more now than I did as a kid.
