"We Are The New Vintage"
Here we are at the end of 2010, and today while I was bored out of my mind and reading old fashion magazines I starting thinking about the best, and worst trends of the decade. So I'm wondering, what were your faves, and what do you wish had never been invented?
A few of my favorites were:
Crazy bedazzled phones!Online Shopping
And SPANX!!!!
My least favorite trend, hands down, is ugly ass CROCSSo lets hear it, what are your favs and hates from the last 10 years?

The newest trend I can't stand is JEGGINGS! I love my skinny jeans and I am glad they are back and we can get them lots of places now, but jeans that are leggings? Terrible! I saw some at a store and I didn't get it until I took them off of the hanger.
Worst:
Leggings as pants
Purses bigger than small children
Shake weight
Silly bands
Best:
Skinny jeans
Big sunglasses
Oh, you are right! Leggings as pants are the worst! And those ginormous purses? Like my mother said, the more room you have, the more there is to clean. And when you have a big purse, everyone wants to put their stuff in it and let you carry it!
The worst thing that happened this year in stores was that discount places are closing, or losing merchandise because fewer people are buying luxury goods, so stores are purchasing less, so less is being made, so discount stores have less of the really great stuff.
Very sad.
Must buy vintage.
A bald head never goes out of style.Worst trend,EMO!!
Best trends of the last 10 years
Nothing.
Couture ended in 1957 with the death of Christian Dior. Fashion died around 1984. Except for John Galliano, everything since has been derivative.
Worst trends of the last ten years
1. Celebutards as fashion icons - Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, The Kardashians, etc.
2. The flood of cheaply made clothing - WalMart, Target, Gap, Old Navy, Zara, H&M.
3. Clothing that makes women look absured - example: skinny jeans = lollipop, low rise jeans = muffin top.
4. Popularity of skank clothing - Bebe, Juicy, Pink, Baby Phat and Forever 21.
5. The continuing trend of men dressing like bums - First casual fridays, then business causal, now dirtbag.
6. The feminization of men's clothing. Leave the tight pants, tight shirts, embroidery to the ladies.
Worst Trend of 2010
Lady GaGA - The Hot Topic of fashion
Douchebag clothing - Ed Hardy
I'll second this well thought out list.

Least favorite- Crocs, shapeless dresses that anyone over a size two looks terrible in, bad bras
Somewhere in the middle- Ugg-type boots. Yes, they can be hideous...but my sheepskin boots are fairly cute (they have buttons up the sides!) with a pair of skinny jeans, and DAMN do they keep my feet warm here in the frozen north. I was especially grateful for them when I was working at the farmer's market and the temperatures started to drop. That said, one of my least favorite trends is Uggs with short skirts or shorts. Are you hot or cold? Make up your mind!
Favorites- Dark skinny jeans, leggings, longer shirts, button down Western-style tops, vintage hairstyles making a comeback, the return of red lips, hidden platform heels, garter belts and backseam stockings in mainstream stores, tailored dresses...
Worst:
"whale tail"
Arm warmers. Why not just wear long sleeves? I don't get it.
Headbands that look like they're cutting off circulation to your brain.
"cause" bracelets. OK, so you're charitable. You can buy the bracelet and just leave it at home.
Justin Bieber hair. Other celebrities are getting in on it, too and it frightens me!
Super-long pointy shoes. A bit of a point is cute, but when there's six inches between where your toes end and the tip of the shoe, not so much!
My Faves:
Military-inspired fashion
Clip-in hair extensions. For someone like me who can't make a commitment (or have funky hair color at work), these are fabu!
Textured/patterned hosiery.
The influx of stores and designers catering to plus sizes. We're here, we're plump! Get used to it! :)
K, so I decided on my favorite trend! I pay more attention to trends going on with interior design than I do in fashion, so I hope it counts...
Vinyl wall art! It's all the rage right now, and I LOVE it! I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to put above/around/next to the baby's crib. So many options!
my all time least favorite trend of the past 10 years is Ed Hardy, and not to mention people dressing like guidos (they kinda go hand in had). I wish that Christian Aguilar would just go away, and take his gawdy tacky OVER PRICED clothes with him.... and gross orange tans. ewe...
another gross trend... BRO's.... if you don't know what a Bro is, look it up....
Hate snuggies, Hate uggs, Hate Crocs.
LOVE that tights and leggings making a comeback =) cmon chokers, you can do it, come on back now ya hear!
