I'm something of a serial blogger, as you will probably spot if you happen to read my blog, under "official website". I thought I might as well continue this here as well and then I could give you an idea of who I am. So first of all THANKS to everyone who's spotted me and welcomed me, that's so sweet! I've always felt as if I'd been born in the wrong era, I'm a very curvacious girl, with the classic hour glass shape, of which I'm thankful for. I'm a bit of a home maker, I cook, knit, sew and clean for me and my husband, although more of the first three than the last (I have a slightly artistic approach to housekeeping). Unfortunately my adoring grandmother died when I was only 7, and I regret that I wasn't old enough to ask her about her life during the "golden era". I miss her everyday! She was the real inspiration for my love of all things Pin-up! My mum used to tell me stories of my grandmother in Africa, in the Cadillac going here, there and everywhere with matching shoes, gloves, hat and handbag. Then I saw Grease, which is not at all pin-up, but the fifties poodle skirts, bobby sock and twin sets were ADORABLE. Then the smoking hot outfit Sandy where's at the end, I wanted to be her! For years I've just idolised the great stars, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth etc. These days I still adore them but I add names like Doris Mayday to the list and no doubt it will go on as I find Pin-ups that inspire me. I'm a writer, probably that explains the blogs, my book is in the process of publishing. I'm a fantasy fictionist, although in my head most of my characters look and dress like movie stars such as Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren. That's how far my obsession with Pin-up goes! Oh well that's a little from me just now. Hope to write more! Thanks again!
