I'm just curious what people actually DO for a living. Do you love your job? Did you go to school for your job? I have such a strange job, and I'm always curious to hear what people do to make money.

I work offshore, in the gulf of Mexico, on a boat. I am a Life Support Technician, Here is a picture of what my office looks like.
I work on the boat for a month and then I am off work for a month, So I only work 6 months a year.. the rest of the time is vacation.

I am the assistant for a Fingernail and Tongue Analysis Dr.

its a really great job and love what we do to help people
Working offshore can be tough, but let me tell you, those people are lucky that they have a beautiful girl like you working with them! I know some other offshore workers (mainly in the switchboard and support fields) that were prior military with me....and they look NOTHING like you do! ((smooch!))

That's wicked cool! Makes me miss being in the Navy!

I'm a housewifey. But I also design rockabilly kids clothing and accessories.
That's really cool, Tessa! I used to work @ the 13th Gate in Baton Rouge LA. They've been voted as one of the top 10 haunted houses in the country for years now. I miss my haunted house gig! I got to play a creepy dead clown, padded cell occupant, and best of all voodoo queen marie laveau.

I'm currently employed with Party City! Yay for retail! Haha. I've only been with them for a couple of months, but I love my job. There's always something to do, so I'm consistently busy. I LOVE party planning, and only ever get to plan one party a year for my son, so working for them makes up for it since I get to help others plan theirs. =0p Plus I get a 30% discount. Can't argue with that!
I also work for The Edge of Hell: "The Granddaddy of Kansas City's Haunted Houses". We're getting ready to start up our 2010 season this weekend, and I can't wait! This is my 5th year working for them!
I've gradually worked my way around and have done many different things throughout the house. This year, I'll be resuming my spot acting as "The Angel in Heaven", which is where I have been for the past 3 years or so. It's super simple, although I spend most of my time running around doing errands for our technical producers. If someone needs something, I'm the go-to-girl that is sent to run after it. The boys make up for it by fetching me cookies from concessions when I want one, though. =0] Plus, I'm on the 5th story of the building, and the quickest way to the first floor, is to go down our 5-story slide. I friggin' love that thing!
I'll also be managing costumes as I did last year, and doing makeup since our usual makeup crew ditched us last year. =0D
LOVE Haunted houses....will it be open by Greasermama time?

Love everyone's responses

When Nicole Katherine Designs was just a hobby, and went under the name Betty Buccaneer Clothing, I worked with the mentally/physically disabled and brain injured and was pursuing psychology writing.

Now I'm a mommy to a handsome little handful that everyone calls "Nugget", have a clothing company and I still pick up the occasional writing jobs doing copy and various little fashion articles. And here's an interesting extra bit of info... I moved my business from Los Angeles last winter to my hometown of Missoula, Montana. My studio is located in the office wing of my family's aircraft maintenance hangar. Sometimes I'll answer the phones for them while I'm in my studio working on my designs
Here are some more pics of my job, the view and the boat I live on 6 months a year.

"Exotic Clothing Removal Engineer" HA AHAAAAA!! I love that! You have proved my point once again, that strippers are intellegent and HILARIOUS! At least the ones I have met. ;-)

I'm not embarassed to admit that at 29, I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up. Nothing has made that "calling" to me. Right now I am enjoying the money and freedom that this industry is giving me. My father told me that when I am ready, I'll be ready, and when I know, I'll know.
Sure will be! We'll be open every Friday and Saturday in September, up until the last couple of weeks when we start to add a few more days to our nights of operation.
Both The Edge of Hell and The Beast will be open Labor Day weekend. It kind of sucks because if Greaserama were on the 10th and 11th, all four haunted houses will be open by then.
You should totally stop out, though! We don't begin to get mad rushes of people until late October, so you won't have to worry about running into people (or having people run into you) while you're walking through the house. =0D
