There is nothing I love more than being sucked into a good book.
I currently am reading House of Leaves

which has really picked up, I totally suggest it! But fairly soon I will be finished with it and hunting for a new read.
Any suggestions?

I read about as much as I breathe, how many suggestions would you like?

I'm currently reading 'The Black Tower' by Louis Bayard. It caught me within the first few paragraphs, and now 50 pages in I'm completely hooked. So there's a recommendation for historical fiction/suspense.

'The Lace Reader' by Brunonia Barry is another that I really enjoyed, it's... hmm, it's difficult to describe without spoilers. Chick lit with some good psychological/metaphysical twists.

Someone else suggested 'House of Leaves', I'm definitely going to have to put it on the must-read list.
"Soulless" by Gail Carriger, it has Vampires, Werewolves, Romance, Mystery, Victorian Fashion, and a Feisty Heroine.

For Fantasy Comedy also try "Carpe Demon" by Julie Kenner. A demon slaying soccer mom.

Being that I have a library of over 1500 books, and have read even more if you let me know more of what you like I can try and thing of more things.
Okay, I'm intrigued, will definitely have to look for 'Carpe Demon'

The time travellers wife book was amazing,
the host by stephanie Mayer also really good and anything by Richard laymen =]
I LOVED House of Leaves! My girlfriends and I would transcribe all the Spanish, music, and brail found in the book. After reading it try listening to Poe's "Haunted"....it's really strange and sort of goes along with the book. I love anything that Neil Gaimon touches; American Gods is my favorite of his. You may need something a little lighter after reading something as mind-bending as House of Leaves so maybe a Christopher Moore book? I'm reading Lamb by him and it is laugh out loud funny. (smiley face)
Haha, I am a huge POE fan, so I initially knew it was her brother who wrote the book, it furthered my interest in reading the book. I just got to the part of the lyrics in the song. So sensual.

Christopher Moore! His titles alone are worth the price of admission. I recently read The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove and there were times when I thought I was going to hurt myself, I was laughing so hard. Island of the Sequined Love Nun is next on my list of CM must-reads

just out of curiosity, are you into motivational books???

Not sure what your "type" of book is, but I'm a bookworm and I'll read almost anything! If you're into sick & twisted - "Haunted" by Chuck Palahniuk. If you like comedy, Chelsea Handler's books are great. "Are You There God? It's Me Chelsea" and "Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang" are hilarious and really quick reads. I agree with Darling Nightmare; "Time Traveler's Wife" and "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer are fantastic! They're both a great mix of sci fi and romance without being too much of either one. Speaking of Stephenie Meyer, the "Twilight" series is one of my favorites. I was hesitant to read them at first because I thought they would be silly middle school stories, but they're now some of my favorite books. My other all-time faves are the Harry Potter series, "Shutter Island" by Dennis Lehane (book is so much better than the movie as is usually the case), "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe", "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" and "Mirror Mirror" by Gregory Maguire, "The DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. Happy reading!
I second Chelsea Handlers three books are great! Another good book I just finished reading is The Male Brain by Dr. Louann Brizendine, its written by a neuropsychiatrist and gives a great look into the male brain, its an easy read even when you dont have an understanding of the brain lol
Personally I prefer reading non fiction but I will read a good novel once in a while..If you want some great non fiction I recommend "This Land Is Their Land" by Barbara Ehrenreich. Her book "Nickled and Dimed" is also brilliant. And "Mistakes Were Made (But Not By Me)" by Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson..if you interested in human psychology this is a must read. You'll understand people better as well as yourself. There's also "Evil Genes: Why Rome Fell, Hitler Rose, Enron Failed and my Sister Stole My Mother's Boyfriend" by Barbara Oakley..again, bloody brilliant! And does a great job of explaining why humans have constantly commited acts of evil (genocide, corporate greed, corruption) both in scientific terms and in the author's own personal family story.
Yeah.. I can't get enough of psychology so I also buy "Psychology Today" every couple of months..I'm a geek! : P
I just finished The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. If you haven't read it, I recommend it highly, it's wonderful.
