I love, love, love summertime. Swimming or lounging by the pool is where I'm always most likely to be found this time of year. It can be hot and most times miserable, but sometimes can be cut short of despair when you're lookin' cute regardless.
I'll admit it. I have have a swim suit problem, although I've done good in selling the ones I wore less often.
Below, are my current faves from my collection.

The white one-piece with red cherries, made by Esther Williams. Previously sold on PinUpGirlClothing.com.

The Bettie Retro one-piece in black with red cherries by Pinup Couture. Currently still available on PinUpGirlClothing.com.

A vintage lavender and white plaid bikini from the 60's. Unfortunately, the tags have worn, so I don't know the designer. =0[
(LOL @ my kitty in the background).

And this Tommy Hilfiger one, which surprisingly still fits, as I've had it since I was 12. o.O
I <3 the Hawaiian print as well as the picnic plaid on the ties.

Now, what is everyone else wearing at the pool this summer?!

I'm a big summertime gal myself. I grew up in Huntington Beach, so surf, sun, and sand are pretty much in my BLOOD. Haha! I live in Sacramento now though, and summer time here is the worst. (Thank God I have a pool now! Lol!) I collect Vintage and Vintage-inspired swimwear and playsuits, so thats probably ALL I'll be wearing this season. Ever. XD

I prefer Vintage, but sometimes it's really hard to find genuine vintage in my size, so I'm customising a few dresses and turning them into vintage-style playsuits and bathing suits. I'm almost done with a red satin one for a shoot next week!

As for my current faves... This is my new favorite swimsuit:

yeah, i've found a few cute ones there. it's hit and miss though really, you have to dig for the good ones.

I wanted that one, but I'm a cheap-o and refused to pay 35 bucks for a suit, even though it's a great deal!!
I don't have the problem with the boobies, it's normally my hips/thighs that don't fit...

I just tried on a bunch at BuffaloGal in St. Pete...the rockabilly, the barbie, a sailor suit, Havana - old florida print. so hard to decide... I think the best with be a tiki print and I will probably pick it up Saturday and maybe post up a photo so you can see it. comes with a peekaboo back, ruffle panty and headscarf!
