Hi Dixie.

I'm Chef Kami Redd I do nutritional meal plans for my clients. To start your weight loss efforts, I would suggest increasing your water intake & reduce your sugars. If you eat processed foods, try to eat less of them. I would also suggest cutting UNHEALTHY carbs for a weeks & adding about 30min of exercise(walking, stairs, etc) daily slowly increasing by 10 min every week, if your schedule permits. If you would like more detailed assistance please email me info@esculentaffairs.com
Thanks a bunch darling<3

Believe it or not, how your body digests food and fuels your metabolism is determined based on your blood type. We are actually genetically programmed to like and dislike certain foods because of what type of blood we have. Obviously, sometimes the foods that fall in our "like" category aren't exactly what's best for us or our bodies.
This site is really informative on what would be best for dieting based on your type. Just go to the top of the page, scroll over "About the Diets" and choose your blood type.
Hope I helped!
Thanks its an interesting read :]

Chef Kami had some good basic advice.

Before my gastric bypass, the only thing that helped me was calorie counting and drinking tons of water. Exercise (blah!) is also essential. If you have an iphone, I can recommend some helpful apps.

Hula hooping is a great exercise for your abs fyi.
Everyone else has mentioned this but I don't think it can be said enough: WATER! It helps you feel full and, more importantly, helps your whole system function more efficiently. Keep a bottle with you everywhere you go.

I have the easiest time keeping my weight under control by grazing, eating 6 or 7 snacks a day rather than regular meals. Your body gets used to the regular intake and doesn't horde anything. The tricky part is keeping the snacks SNACK-SIZED; a small container of yogurt, half a sandwich, etc. Calorie counting has helped a lot of people I know, it makes me feel a bit like I'm obsessing but that's just me and if it works for you, do it :)

Eat as much of your food uncooked as you can. Fresh fruit, raw veggies, yogurt, salads, that sort of thing. If you have a farmer's market or a grocery store with a good produce section within walking distance, schedule regular walks to it for supplies, two birds with one stone right there. And walk everywhere you can. It makes a huge difference.

Good luck to you!
I lost a stone in weight just cutting out potatoes and bread products. Starchy food just doesn't digest properly in me. Replace mashed potatoes with blended cauliflower and a little butter, it's a really tasty alternative and even people i know that hate cauliflower like it.
Thank you for all the suggestions <3
Hello Miss Dixie Darling! For myself, I've found pilates to be helpful, but I've got a weak neck and back so I can't do some positions, but I found out that's OK, that there are modified versions to make it easier and make you stronger! I hope this might help a bit.:)
Thank you :]

Cardio cardio cardio! Find an excercise you enjoy that makes you sweat, eg, Zumba (my personal fave), any of the popular Les Mills classes, a couple of dance classes a week, or start jogging. I battled my weight for so long until the penny finally dropped. It really is only 50% diet, and if you really wanna lose weight, it's not going to happen sitting on your ass, or at least, it will happen a HELL of a lot slower. Jump around, get your heart rate up, eat lots of chicken and fish and vegies and water and you'll be fine!
Hi Dixie, this same warning was posted in your other thread. The last thing we want is to have a forum full of:

"HELP!"
"HI EVERYONE"
"WONDERING WHAT YOU THINK?"
"LAIDES I NEED YOUR HELP"
"I NEED YOUR OPINION ON SOMETHING"

Please be a little more descriptive with thread titles. Click EDIT DISCUSSION to the right of your post and change the title from "Ladies I need your help"...
