Music touches us all in different ways, so I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we can share our favorite song(s) and the memories behind them.
I'll go first!
My ALL time favorite song is Tiny Dancer by Elton John. When I was little my Gramps would always call me his tiny dancer and sing that song. Brings a smile to my face EVERY time. Besides...Elton rocks the effing house! :D
seriously though... Josh Wink's "Higher State of Consciousness" is probably my all time favorite track. I have so many memories from this track it's unbelievable. From dancing at Dune to cruising Hollywood Blvd & many many many raves in between this track has always seemed to sneak in my life.
I'm not laughing, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is on my list of favorites ;)
But if I had to pick just one song to say is my all-time favorite, it would have to be 'The Year of the Cat' by Al Stewart. It's one of the reasons I became a poet, as much as anyone can consciously decide to "become" a poet anyway.
