Does anyone think that Michelle McGee makes the tattoo industry look bad?

Generally, if I had to think of a spokesperson for tats, I'd probably go with Kat Von D., but I have to wonder what kind of effect all the negative press Michelle McGee is getting for being Jesse James' mistress?  Thoughts?

Oh yeah, saw this on TMZ (I watch it when I want my brain to go on vacation). It's called "Celebrity Cheaters" now what could be more hilarious and at the same sadder then that?

Baaaahaaaaahaaaaahaaaa!!! I seriously just choked on the salad I was eating because I laughed out loud. Now lets try to make some guesses about what it will be called!

Sounds like you called it! According to to TMZ, she might be getting her own reality show with Jamie Jungers! http://www.tmz.com/person/michelle-mcgee/

I won't be watching it!
I find it unnecessary to pass judgment and call anyone a slut unless you would, can, or have said it to their face and know that that statement is in fact true.
Not only is Michelle a friend, but she's also a person and she too has feelings. In this situation it takes 2 to tango and both parties were involved. Weather or not she was lied to is over looked and it seems that no one could really care. Either way they were both in the wrong but why are we obsessing over someone elses' life when we have one of our own to worry about?

If this were you, you wouldn't really appreciate everyone passing judgment and calling you names so why don't we not point fingers and start a topic that is about Tattoos and how it may or may not affect things, with no slandering attached. I wouldn't put her or Kat in the role model category but I think very few people would be able to hold that title, myself included.

Now I'm sure that is something we can all agree on.

THANK YOU!

P.S. before this discussion gets heated, I wanted to add that I am not condoning anyones behavior, either hers or Jesses....I'm just saying that there is always two sides to every story!! No matter how many "facts" we think we have been provided, as the public, we will never know the real story. Who knows if her intentions were to gain celebrity? It sure does appear so but like I said we'll never really know. If so, it sure is working because here we are all talking about her :)

This country has become sickly obsessed with Hollywood and celebrity. People want so bad to "be famous" overnight are pulling out all the stops to achieve it! Just look at "Jersey Shore" for example..... Those f**** were no one until some douchebag producer from MTV decided to cast for that reality show and they got chosen. Act a fool on camera for a hefty salary and instant fame? Of course they would!

This is the direction pop culture has gone in, and I can't see it getting better any time soon. Love it or hate it, it's here.
I agree with everything you just said. But may I add, it's when a man/woman welcomes the bad press and slander that it starts to reflect badly :( It's sad, because she was probably not expecting this to all go down. Whether or not she dropped the dime herself for publicity and fame, is irrelevant, because it's all hear-say. Nothing can ever be verified.

All this craziness over sex! GEEZ!

As far as tattoos are concerned? well, they're much less "shocking" today than they were a decade ago, BUT there's a certain stigma that goes with women and tattoos. We're seen as "wild" "edgy" possibly "dangerous". Which is all pretty funny to me, being a completely laid back mommy of 3 little ones. You just have to put up with the assumptions for the sake of your own personal taste and art. I've had people literally pull their kids across the street to avoid me. I guess if someone was easily offended, that would hurt their feelings. To me, it's just ironic, and humorous.

One day, people without tattoos are going to be the "weird" ones. o_O

(just an heads up, I didn't proof read this, and it's 11:18 @ night...so forgive any rambling or misspellings) ;)

I'm pretty sure the sight of you inspired jealousy . . . .I can't imagine anyone as lovely looking as you would scare children. (-:
((blush)) Oh my goodness! I literally just blushed! Thank you for the compliment!

as far as scaring children? I think you're right, pretty sure it was the mommies that were uneasy with me. Kids usually love me. :) and they LOVE to poke at my tattoos! (just like my kids do!) It doesn't help that I'm a young mom in these parts, 26 with 3 kids is unheard of around here. o_O

I think this whole thread boils down to one of my favorite quotes:

"Nobody can hurt me without my permission." - Mohandas Gandhi

Meaning, if you let stuff affect you, then it will. If you think someone is giving your tattoos a bad name...then they are. But if you totally ignore the whole situation, then it doesn't even touch your life. :)

Thank you as well for bringing up a few more good points.

I also know her, not as well as you do, but because I do I also see her as a person as opposed to some "celebrity" I've never met before.

We understand some have strong personal opinions towards tattoos, but this is not the venue to express anger filled points of views, the original poster asked a non loaded question, "Does she make the tattoo industry look bad?" Lets keep all answers on topic.

Enough speculating who is good or bad for Jesse or Sandra. Michelle could very well be a member here and is certain to be friends with members here. We'll treat her as fairly as we would treat any one of our members. keep it civil or the thread will be closed.
