I saw someone posted another thread about perfumes. But I'm talkin vintage or vintage inspired girls! I'd love to try something new, and I'm curious to find out what all you other kittens are wearing. I currently wear Stella by Stella McCartney in the winter and fall because I find it has some very classic tones to it. And in the spring and summer I wear Evelyn and Crabtree Tea Rose and Casswell and Massey Lily of the Valley which both have a very Art Nouveau feel to them which I love! anyone have any suggestions?

I realize I'm dating myself badly here, but my favorites are still the ones I've been wearing for the past 25+ years, Ciara, Chantilly, and Emeraude.
I wear Juicy right now. Although I'm tired if it and am looking for something new.

But I will always love Chanel #5. And when I get old I plan on wearing White Diamonds by Liz Taylor. It's the sent my grandma wore.
White Diamonds! ha my Grandma currently wears that and Elizabeth Arden Red Door I think 2 those perfumes are like the 2 official classy Grammy perfumes..hehe I used to love the old White Diamonds commercials..remember? Where Elizabeth Taylor is in Monti Carlo Gambling or something and shes like "Here take this for luck" and throws down a huge rock of ice on the table.

i love coco chanel when im going out its so woody, in the day clairins essential oil is beautiful and estee lauder beautiful is nice and feminine x
Jungle Gardenia! I'm not sure when they discontinued it, but when I was a teenager a way back in the 80s, I used to wear it. Anik Goutal's "Gardenia Passion" is the closest I've come to finding that scent. I picked some up a couple months ago. Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus are the only places you can get it, but you can find it on Ebay.
I have a real love affair with Paloma Piccasso. It takes me back to when I was a child, its so seductive. My younger sister calls it an 'old school' perfume, lol.

Occasionally I'll wear J'adore or Flora by Gucci.
What a lovely topic! I LOVE fragrance and I'm a huge vintage fragrance fan! I have Emeraude body powder, which is delightful after bath. I also am not embarrassed to say I use Jean Nate, which has been around since 1935. It reminds me of my mum.

I'm currently wearing Chanel No. 5 but I have the Eau Premiere which is fabulous if you don't like aldehydes. I don't mind them, but I adore Eau Premiere! It is a delightful reinterpretation that still retains the elegance of the original, but seems to be much more wearable for many. LOVE IT!

Joy by Jean Patou is fantastic...it was created in light of the Great Depression to bring, well, exactly that...JOY! I hear the extrait is the way to go, but at $250, it's a long shot for me. I currently have an EDT and next fall I think I will invest in the EDP. I'm a jasmine fan through and through.

Miss Dior (not Cherie, the original) is a classic vintage fragrance that I really want to get my hands on, but for summer I'm looking for something lighter. I really want to find a lovely lilac fragrance. As Caswell and Massey is a vintage brand which has been around forever, I may go for their lilac to see how that works. I'm really getting into soliflores and lilacs are my favorite. I'm sure a lovely rose would be sweet too.
Annie a girl after my own heart I love it!! I would definitely recommend the Caswell and Massey to you it has worked well for me in the past. All their scents smell like real fresh cut flowers! but not overpowering and I think I shall try Miss Dior for fall this year. I used to wear I love Dior as a teenager and loved it so I'm sure going back to Dior would be a good thing for me or maybe opium? has anyone tried that? my aunt used to wear that and i loved it on her! Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! keep them coming!

Don't forget Coty! I wear Coty Airspun, which is scented with L'Origan..

L'Origan: 1905
Muguet (lily of the valley): 1910
Émeraude: 1921 (similar to Shalimar, which was released in 1925)
L'Aimant: 1927 (Coty's answer to Chanel No. 5, so it has aldehydes combined with floral elements)

Not a fan, but Tabu (by Dana) is also vintage and readily available (1932)
Chantilly by Dana (1941)

More expensive, but many Caron scents are true vintage classics as well.
Chanel #5
Whenever I think vintage perfume, I always think of Chanel No. 5. It wll always be a classic.

Speaking of granny scents, my grama's faves are White Shoulders and Chantilly. Whenever I would spend the night as a kid, she would let me use her Chantilly powder after I took a bath and I felt so glamourous and grown-up!

And yeah, my grama's a classic, too! :)
I've always wanted to try Chantilly...they never have a tester at the drugstore.
Love grandma fragrances :) :)

I also remember L'air du Temps (Nina Ricci)...also classic :)
