Ok a few more examples of Hot Rods vs Rat Rods.

If you notice, the rat rods are visually assaulting and insulting. Ugly is a too kind a word to describe them. There is no thought given to the aesthetic flow of the vehicle or even safety for that matter. When i see a rat rod I expect to see a bunch of clowns come piling out from the circus. And they may need tetanus shots. rust is not a color.
On the other hand, a Hot Rod is built with some sort of vision and design and of course is built to drive fast and have a hell of a fun time and they can even safely stop and turn.
Yes and No. I see the same in both Rods. Fun. I do understand but it is up to the person looking at the Rods. Some of the things you say is bad is kind of what makes me like them more. See life is just to clean sometimes. My best friend works at the ford plant and he likes to let lose when he builds on his Rat Rod. But I do like both of the Rods but I will never have the money or time to own a Hot Rod. I would like one but I have come to a point in my life when fun has a big price tag and I have to choose which one I can buy.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Feature some clothing companies/lingerie designers/accessory makers too, maybe have your focus model wear the clothes for a multi-page spread.

The one other little thing about Hot Rods. When we had tried do photo shoot or stroies about Hot Rods. First Hot Rod Owners don't want us to have models with their Rods or they just don't write that much about their Rods. I mean yes they tell us the spec's but just short on the story part.

"Upset me?" Im not upset. It's your magazine, do what ever you want. You asked for advice, having been a full time magazine editor for 5 years I figured I'd try and pass on some advice which you asked for. Do what ever you want and good luck.
Thats all I have to say about that.
Thanks all for remaining civil! Getting feedback is soooo important from potential readers or users of a service you provide. Sometimes its tough face, and sometimes its exactly what you needed. Kudos to all in this thread!
My 2 cents? Ditch the magazine idea...

We ask about three different companies and they asked us what is in it for them. I not joking really that is what they said. Also one said we would have to pay them to do a shoot. One got made that we gave the a free ad in our first magazine. They said that they can only handle so much work in a year so it mad them mad at us. So if you know anybody who would like to do something like this then pass them our way.
