Working in a cole mine... Ehm! Well, I'm not working in a cole mine, but what I'm doing right now feels strangely close to it!
I'm writing my graduation thesis on pin-ups for one of my majors. And even though I usually don't have any major writing problems, this doesn't come all that easy. It's often VERY tempting to indulge myself to a couple of moments of doing something else... oh distractions, distractions...! And the deadline is coming!
I'm very glad I've discovered this wonderful place - it will be featured in my thesis too of course! I don't want to boast too much, but my guess is that my work is the first one in Poland to cover that subject. When I was looking for materials, there were none in Polish. Pin-up art - the american way at least - was never really popular here and the older generation - contrary to what it's like in USA - has no clue about it. Wouldn't be surprised to discover that a rather big part of the modern one doesn't know what that is either - especially when it comes to pin-up classics.
Well - I've yet again managed to distract myself from what I SHOULD be doing now...
