WHERE DO YOU GET THE CLOTHES!!!!!!I've looked at most of the pictures on here and I'm wondering where do you girls get the vintage clothes and lingerie thats bettie page style.I live in oceanside,ca(45 mins from san diego) and theres not much of a pinup scene here,I've been to vintage stores and they don't seem to have what I want.I tried looking for stores that have stuff like pinupgirlclothing.com or stopstaring type of clothes, no luck.I know I can get clothes online I don't like paying the extra for shipping then they add tax to it.....if you know any store in the san diego area let me know.If you look though my pics most of my vintage"looking"clothes are from wal mart, torrid,or random stores at the swap meet/bazaar.sometime it takes over 8 stores to find what I want, most of the time I look for clothes for a shoot or event that I headline once every blue moon.

Ebay has interesting items and u can often get them for a steal. :)
We've complied a great list here:

I'm pretty sure all the places listed there have online shops, and we have TONS of vendors in the SoCal area. You can use the Advanced Member Search to find the vendors located specifically in San Diego.

I make them. Dangerous Dames Clothing
I see what I can pick up in charity/thrift shops, sales and ebay, I always keep a look out for things that I can alter - I have quite a few skirts that started life a little more tame and I have made them a bit more retro with a few adjustments here and there.
I have a ton of links on my website (www.bodaciousbetties.com/links.htm). Yeah, I know, shameless plug. But ebay is actually is actually an excellent place to find pin up/retro clothing on a budget. You can get brand new stuff with a vintage look for cheap. Some of it comes from China, so expect to wait 3 weeks to get it but if you're not in a hurry. Try using search terms like burlesque, retro, rockabilly, pin up in the Clothing and Accessories category.
I make a lot of vintage style playsuits and swimsuits. I'm at vintage.suitsbymary.com
