Possibly modeling for Aveda

I went down to Cincinnati yesterday to meet with Dena at an Aveda Fredric's Institute about the possibility of modeling for them. She loves the look of me as a 40s-50s girl, which is one of their many looks they want to pull off. However, she also loves the fact that my look is versatile -- I can pull off the high fashion look just as well.

So, after filling out the initial paperwork consisting of age, height, sizes, etc., and discussing what this whole photo shoot is about, she invited me to the final casting call in Indianapolis. I am sooo excited! And, I really hope that I get chosen. It won't be a paid job, but the photographer is effing amazing. His name is Babek. And, I will get TONS of networking, and some great exposure! Not to mention, I get to keep my photos - which is always my favorite part (next to a paycheck, of course!)

I guess my mom and dad are going to take me.. Which will be nice. I hardly get to spend any real time with them. I'm actually kinda shocked that they're willing to take me out there. I've been doing this whole modeling thing for years, and only within the past couple months have they shown any sign of support. Even still to this day, however, they prefer if I only accept paying jobs. They don't understand that modeling isn't JUST about the paycheck -- it's networking too. Oh well. I'm lucky that they're willing to take me this time.

So, everyone keep your fingers crossed! I'm going to Indianapolis on the 3rd!!
