"We Are The New Vintage"
Hey guys and girls,
What do people use to exfoliate their lips if you do at all? I need to as I have very dry lips but there are so many weird and wonderful products out there I have no idea what to try.

What was the name of the book? I am obsessed w/Japanese culture. And they have such nice skin, a big contrast to my own.

I don't know if this helps but if you want something to help with the dryness honey on your lips works very well. I bought a book on Japanese skincare techniques awhile ago and the author says honey on the lips, (she says put some plastic wrap over them to help, I personally don't like to do that). Honey is a natural moisterizer.
E.L.F makes an awesome lip exfoliator that looks like a lipstick...you put it on just like lipstick and it sloughs off dead skin and roughness....and it's on 3 bucks! I absolutley love their makeup!
Also like someone said above...taking your toothbrush and running over your lips when you brush your teeth helps alot...then smooth on some carmex (the kind that is in like a lip gloss looking tube that you squeeze out is what I use)
Here's a link to the lip exfoliator! ;)

A great way to exfoliate lips is to use an electric toothbrush. Dry is best, but wet will work too. And if you want even more exfoliation, add a little sugar to your lips.
Mix equal parts brown sugar and honey, dab a little on your lips and press lips together like you would after applying lip balm and rub back and forth. Lick when done. :)
Hey guys, i may be new but here's a great tip that'l help you save time and money when it comes to dealing with your lips/ Remember to stay hydrated. If you haven't been drinking enough, your lips will be the first thing to tell you. If they're dry without any reason (cold weather and wind) then think about how much water you've had to drink lately. I used to have really dry lips and moisturizers only helped for a little while. Now i drink about a Litre of water every day and my lips are always soft and smooth. If you're still having problems after that i agree with the sugar and olive oil scrub. There are plenty of other ingredients you can add for different issues, and it's not just for your lips.
Well, this works for me, but what you can do is first wet your lips with warm water. Then use a old toothbrush or wash cloth and add your favorite exfoliating cleanser and just gently scrub away any dry cracked peelings from your lips then rinse. Then pat down to dry, next add your lip moisterizer or lip balm; I do recommend using Carmex because even though it burns a little, its perfect because for whatever weather conditions is currently happening and of course as a base for your favorite lipstick or lipgloss :-) There are cherry, strawberry, and vanilla scents of Carmex. Hope this helps! :-)
If you have a Lush store nearby they do amazing lip scrubs in some tasty flavours too. They're about £4 over here :)
