New and Completely Lost

I saw that there were a lot of threads with women asking advice on how and where to get started with modeling and things of that nature but I was wondering if any of you lovely people out in PL world would be able to point me as a guy in the right direction for getting started. 

Anything and everything you can help me with would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Adam,

Do you mean just getting into this scene, or being a male model? 

For getting into the scene you've come to the right place! We have members all over the world here and it's a great place to make friends and contacts. This scene is all about getting out and having a good time, so a great place to start is with local car shows, swing dance clubs, sock hops and concerts. Be sure to join the Regional Forum for your area to hear about events that might be happening, and jump in the chat room to talk to and get to know other members. Also, for some general information about the scene, like a history and explanations of the different looks, check HERE. 

As for being a male pin up model, it's not unheard of, but it's not very common either. However, if you have a look that someone is really feeling, it is possible to be used as a male model for photos shoots (usually with a female model).

I'm definitely a lot more interested in getting involved with the scene. I was starting to before I deployed so I just have to get back to it when I get back. I'm actually really looking forward to American Pinup's Pin Up and Burlesque Fest down in Tampa, FL. As for the modeling, I never really thought about it till I had someone approach me about trying it out at one of the swing clubs I went to so I thought hey why not. I Figured for the most part there wasn't a whole lot of call for male models in this scene but no harm in trying and having a bit of fun in the process right?
