Chicago has such a great mix of people! I am officially dedicating this thread to all of the Chicago boys and girls on PL. Come out of hiding and lets connect! If you are from the area, make yourself known and post on this thread. We can plan PL Army meet ups and inform each other on events in our lovely city :)

I would be up for meeting just about anywhere. Maybe we could post a casting call thread about this on Model Mayhem and see if there would be photographers and maybe even an MUAH or two interested in doing an all-day group shoot. If everyone could say whether or not they are interested, where would be a good location (like chicago, suburbs, etc...), and when would work for them, we could at least put up a date range and general location on MM and see if we can get some interest, then narrow down all the specifics after we see what kind of response we get from photogs.

Recently moved back to Chicago and a Chicago PL meetup would be great! There are a number of cool rockabilly bars in Chicago that could be a fun meetup location, just to throw an idea out there. Looking forward to hopefully seeing this event happen!

weekends are best for me as well...but i have a bunch of photoshoots and pinup pageants coming up. i'd be free sept. 15, and any weekend in oct. except the first and last. i might be able to make it on one of my photoshoot days, though, depending on where the meetup ends up being. exciting!! would love to meet all you guys and do some networking and brainstorming for events and group shoots.

Usually they have them at classic car shows...there is one next weekend at Jalopy Fest in Morris, IL and then one first weekend of Oct. at Iron Invasion. You get all dolled-up in your pinup gear and when it's your turn you get called-up on stage and asked a series of questions. A panel of judges votes on the candidates and usually you can win a variety of different areas like "most vintage", "most rock n' roll", "miss congeniality", etc... Winners are awarded prizes ranging from cash to photo shoots to pinup accessories. They're a lot of fun!
