http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/rockabilly-pin-up-girl and so I was thinking, why not talk about the other looks in this scene, they deserve some attention too!

So this thread is dedicated to our Psychobilly sisters. What would you say are the psychobilly wardrobe essentials? Lists, pictures, videos, post it all up!

Ugh!! I haven't taken any pics as my sinister, psycho self, but Its all about  having creepy sex appeal! Weekend mission: get psycho, and take pics =)

I am new to this psychobilly world.  I purchased some iron fist psychobilly platform shoes and a "miss monster" necklace.  I can't wait to wear it out into the world.  My husband replied "those shoes are for halloween."  I told him "no" I'm wearing them out now.  By the way, we got married on halloween.  I've just been missing my true calling.

It can also sometimes be the mixture of sinister and sweet. Pairing girly colors and shapes with a pop of gore or some creepy crawlies ( spiders, skeleton parts, bloody eyeballs, a severed finger, etc)

Psychobilly is bright colors, animal prints and lots of blood :D

Just to make sure I understand, psychobilly is a bit more punk rock style for the retro/billy world. Bright colors, fun animal patterns and leather. Does this sound about right? Just wanting a bit of clarification. I'd never heard of this style before I came across this website so this is really neat to learn about!

Psychobilly is like Rockabilly with a horror twist. A little less country, a little more hardcore.

I've slowly been developing much more of a psychobilly look since I've started dating this guy and I wanna get so much more into it. We have a monthly psychobilly night here in Liverpool where everyone looks ghoulishly fabulous :) My housemates think I'm weird, freaky and abnormal (which I probably am) for my love of psychobilly and all its attributes but then they're just orange, high street clones with no sense of anything thats not from Topshop (who are claiming to have a psychobilly range this season although I've checked it out and am not impressed as they seem to have managed to Hipsterize - is that a word? - the trend).

 

To me its leopard print, tight tight tight clothes and extreme crazy coloured hair and make up.

 

I don't have any pictures of me psychobilly'd up but I shall try my hardest to remember to get my camera out next time I am :)

my #1 suggestion and opinion is: listen to the music!! don't just dress the part, like you're putting together a costume.. it's a little offensive to the people who breathe psycho...

Yes! I love the Cramps, Batmobile, Zombina and the Skeletones, Banane Metalik, Zombie Ghost Train, Klingonz...Some of the ones you mentioned I need to check out, thanks for the list :-)
