Hello everyone, I am very new here and I would like to ask a question. I read the question about full figured models, but what about older models? I am 46  a size 16, and absolutely adore burlesque and pin ups. I have recently lost 60 pounds and feel a lot more comfortable with myself, and would love to try my hand at it, but don't see many older models. Am I just wishful thinking? Is there an age limitation?

Hi Raven, I'm 44 and have no experience but figured why not give it a try?  Life is short.  Go for it.
I agree. Pinup isn't about age. Just enjoy yourself.

It depends on what kind of "model" you want to be. If you want to do some photo shoots so that you have awesome pictures of yourself that you can post here and on your other social networks... YES! Do it! It's so much fun and makes you feel amazing.

If you want to to try to be a pro, make sure you have realistic expectations.  There are girls younger and thinner then you who are fighting to get noticed. It is hard enough to make it to "pro" status in this scene, because the scene is so small. However, unlike mainstream this is one place where it's ok to be curvy. I'm not saying you can't do it, or that you shouldn't try, just be realistic. Look around at the sites and companies you might want to model for. What age and size are the models they use? Do they look like you? Is there one that uses models that do?  That's a good place to start.

Good luck no matter what you do!
