"We Are The New Vintage"
I'm browsing the market for a new camera, and would like some opinions from you guys! I'm looking for a basic point-and-shoot; nothing crazy expensive or professional-like. Just something to have on hand yet still manage to take crisp non-pixelated-to-hell images. =0]
I've got my eye on this Canon PowerShot. It's got 14.1MP, which is noice. Plus it's pink, so naturally...
The reviews on it are good, but I figured I'd see if any of you folks had this camera, and if so, how do ya like it?
What other kinds of cameras do you guys have? Pros/cons?
Thanks! xoxo

I have that one, in red, and I like it, but I'm not happy with my night shots of anything far away. That is really the only complaint I have about it. Of course, there could be a setting for that that I don't know about....lol. I'm also looking for another camera, but only because I want a pink one instead of my red.
We should do a poll, photographers, what is the best PINK camera out there?? LOL
Hrm. The manufacturer details said it's got Low Light mode. I wonder if that can be toggled?
Either way, I can't blame you at all for wanting to get a new camera simply because you'd rather have one in pink. =0D
I promised myself I wouldn't become biased because of color, but dammit, it's just so hard not to be.

Figured I'd post an update saying I went ahead and got the Canon Powershot. In pink, of course. My hunny got it for me for Valentine's Day. =0}
I looooove it! The images are crystal clear, the camera itself is so compact and easy to just put in it's case and toss in my purse, the battery life is outstanding (for now, of course, that's always subject to change), it records amazing video with awesome audio, it detects faces and every photo I've taken so far has come out still and not the least bit blurry, and uploading images is super simple. It's essentially plug-and-play, there's no downloading of software required. The only thing is that it didn't come with memory. No big deal, though, it was only $12 for a 4gig SD card.
I took some photos in places with crummy light and they managed to turn out just fine as well, so all in all, I'm super happy with it and totally recommend it to anyone looking for a point and shoot under $200. =0D
