The Japanese do americana better than Americans, because they study it meticulously and dive in head first. Their custom bikes, their "rockabillies" it's all 10x better than ours. I know I know, you were born this way and you've lived it the whole time, not saying you're doing it wrong, just saying that you're doing it your way, while these guys study the stereotype, study the artform, the details, the cliche's and they replicate it in detail sometimes exaggerating it just enough.
I love the japanese take on rockabilly. They really do dive in head first! Will most likely post pics later (I know i promise that an never do, so not promising this time ;) )
Side note: the pic of the ladies has inspired me to make a leopard print circular skirt :)
I love what the Japanese do with style. Sometimes they take it to the verge of being nearly cartoonish, and it looks outstanding. Those pomps could make the Necromatix jealous!
I'm jealous! Haha.
I <3 Japanese pomps. They're ridiculous!
HELLA agreed!!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!
oh i love to see the Japanese rockabilly boys and girls! totally cute!
There is a strive for excellence that is found throughout Japanese culture-- even the McDonald's is pretty darn impressive-- their hamburgers there are really like the food stylists in the commercials here would like us to believe they are. And to be different there, to go outside of the norm takes some courage, so when they do, they do it with the attention to detail that is found in most everything they do.
At Booze, Broads and Hotrods last year, there were two men who looked Japanese. They were perfectly coiffed, outrageously so, and they danced... by themselves. I saw two cute girls go up to them and try to get them to dance, but they had no luck. It was a fun little thing to watch and I wished they would have danced with the girls just to have something fun to remember.
I would comment though, that the website is a little off in listing the girls from Okinawa in a Japanese stream. Sure, Japan owns the island, and they share some parts of the culture, but Okinawans, at least the ones I spoke to when I was there, don't consider themselves Japanese. It is like when I talk to Guamanians, they tend to refer to themselves as Guamanian, not American.

Its melting my heart to see this!!
LOVE the Japanese for their love of Rock ;]p
