Ladies & Gents,

I would like to acknowledge a teacher that goes beyond his call of duty as a teacher for his students. He works 3 jobs to get things his students need. I have already emailed the principal, superintendant, and even brought it up to the PTO. I am sincerely thinking about contacting local news, radio stations, or Ellen (or other TV show) for him to get some serious recognition.

Also he works with special needs children he is patient, caring, and loves his students, He has 7 students currently so I am contacting their parents to see if they would like to write letters of recognition as well. Or if they would like to donate something to make him a gift basket. Or if their children will draw something for a Art to Remember project (http://www.arttoremember.com/ )

So Ladies & Gents I am asking you what else you think I should do? What should be in the gift basket?
What should be addressed in a letter of recognition to a TV show, news, or radio station?
Any incite would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for the help.
Sincerely,
Inga

Gift cards. When I was teaching we spent a ton of our own money on stuff for the kids. Gift cards to book stores or other places where educational things can be bought are great. It helps out the teacher, and they still get to do things for the kids. Also, a card for a nice restaurant or the movies is great. Teachers who love their kids don't have a lot of spare time, so a nice evening out is a huge treat.
Thank you so much honey ~hugs~
Great suggestions, Roxy!
