Whole new meaning to mixtape!

I came across this artist who creates amazing artwork from old film reels, and cassette tapes. Things that have been sitting in boxes, for years. The artist knowns as iri5, brings these old tapes back to life in a whole new way! This is what she said about creating this series of artwork known as "Ghosts in the Machine" -
It feels great to work with strange, older materials. Things that have a mind of their own. Most everything I use has been thrown away or donated at some point. Past its prime, like some of the finest things in the world.
