Should I cut my hair?

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of going drastic and doing a Marilyn style haircut. I have thin hair, so I'm wondering if I would be able to pull off the look without the thickness? Also I'm kind of wondering what it would look like when I don't curl it. I'm in the military so I definitely won't curl it for work. I'm also thinking of dying my hair a brighter red (like Marcia Cross?). Any tips, opinions, or suggestions would be great.

The first pic is me now...the second is the style I'm thinking of...and the third is the color I'm thinking (my current red is natural).

You have gorgeous hair! I don't know about the shorter length, but the red would be lovely on you.

I was thinking the same.... I love the color, but not sure you should cut it. I cut my hair off to a bob length and really wish I hadn't now. I am wanting my long locks back.

your hair now is lovely, and at the same time, the Marilyn cut would be lovely on you. You have a good face shape for short hair. you can always "try out" the haircut first, by massively curling your hair, and pinning it up with bobby pins so that you have a faux bob. It won't look exactly like it, but it should give you an idea of what your hair could look like when it's cut.

The red color will be absolutely LOVELY on you. Just be sure the military doesn't nail you for an unnatural hair color. As long as you keep in one color and don't do a drastic change, you should be fine. I once bleached my hair when I was in the navy, and had to defend that it could be a natural color based on my family genetics, My little sister has PLATINUM blonde hair, and black eyebrows (naturally!!). Long story short, I didn't get in trouble, but it was a pain in the neck!

Thank you maybe I will try to faux bob thing...I like myself with short hair, I've had it before...just never this style. I don't think the Navy will say anything about my hair, I already have red hair so it won't be too drastic.
